In the UK The Troubles are very much woven into the fabric of society (though obviously not as much as in Ireland).
I was getting a bit confused because all the pics gave me a distinct European/British feel, but I know you're US based, so I was thinking to myself "Some bits of the States look remarkably like Britain, I never knew...." Your commentary cleared that up
Yeah, I'm a US/Canadian. Most of the new batch of photos I've been posting are from a trip this spring to Ireland and the UK. Through family, friends and people I grew up (not to mention just being a teenager in the early eighties and at University for the end of the decade) I've always had an awareness and connection to The Troubles (my mother's family is Ulster Scot) not to mention an obsession with history and politics.
