I could easily see myself retiring there :) Warm weather all the time, but brisk winds to keep it livable, and good public transit.

Fun and relaxation is always a good thing.

And there are many time share plans that allow you to work with a vast number of places to stay, so you don't have to go to the same place over and over again.

Yeah, we've definitely considered that as a potential future option. In our oh so brief vacation to Ft. Lauderdale a number of months back, we stayed at the 'Marriott Beach Club' which there are other instances of in Aruba, and it was quite nice.

In any case, we're not currently ready for the financial side of a timeshare purchase - we're working towards establishing a pretty major financial cushion in case one of us loses our jobs given the current lack of stability in the job market in EVERY industry - banking is longer a stable place to be either apparently...
