Granted, when I was fourteen I was already doing more than that - but there's stating your demographics and actually trawling around the web to find stuff!

Yeah, there's... well. I guess I draw a line between reading material and viewing material. I probably read things that were almost as horrible, when I was that age, but even with my vivid imagination, that's a long shot from watching those things -- and, unlike a novel, watching pretty much nothing but those things, for 30 minutes to, well, a multi-hour marathon!

I hope so? :D

At least when reading about horrible things, there were large parts of each novel not about horrible things at all. (Plus, a novel you can also put down and wander away from and have ice cream -- or a fortnight in another country, whatever you need -- if it gets to be too much or goes in a direction you weren't prepared for!)
