My SIL went with a friend to register. They don't have hardly any large/pricey items on their registry, because my Mom already took a TON of big ticket items down to them over Thanksgiving. She went to a lot of consignment shops & also garage saled over the course of the Summer

Hmmm... I think I'd probably buy the tub and stuff it full of other little things... the hangers, maybe some clothes, the care kit, etc. Then, wrap it up in a big fluffy towel or something... since you're right, there aren't any big ticket items to get.

Or, you could do some sort of savings bond for the baby or something.

Ooooh, or you could do a "For Mommy" sort of gift, and get SIL some nursing pj's a nice CD to listen to while feeding the babyor whatever... she'll love whatever you get though!

My Mom had orig. brought up the idea of her, buying the baby a savings bond. Well see,....

I do like the p.j. idea for Mom.

I actually thought about buying her a gift card to a photography place in their hometown. Mabye that will come later.

After I had posted this, in the mail came a booklet from Babies R' Us filled with coupons!
Just in the knick of time!!!!
I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money, just because I plan on going down to see them shortly after the baby is born & plan on buying them a little something then. Also, in the Summertime, I plan on having some sort of belated baby shower.
