I bet it would take a LOT more than 100 points of sugar -- just think of all the 10-pound bags of candy that americans go through at halloween every year!

It could just be that we have built up an immunity since we've been eating large amounts of sugar all of our lives.

well, the extermination could be a lack of self-control too.
and based on the number of type II diabetes americans there are, and the amount of pharmaceuticals needed to keep them all alive and well, i'd say that method would work in a drug-free america too. =)
