yeah! i thought it was really fun, but the build-up to it was shocking because it ended so quickly. 5 weeks for less than 2 minutes...just wierd, i thought it would go on and on...kind of like i am now, so shutting up.
and im not to into livejournal usually, but i saw urs and yeah.
Johnathan Hallet and I were supposed to speak for the Rock, but were RUDELY cut off by the choir. Oh well, at least I didn't have to read my poem in front of the entire school.
That's really upsetting, I heard that Beatles cover concert was amazing, but unfortunately I had to work that night.
Here is my poem, I think I'm going to title it Fallout.
The day you left it rained Millions of nuclear bombs. In the golden tar flooded streets I see tiny lovers dancing in the fallout. Morbid, they cling to last moments greedily Like the tawny taste of peach And pictures of really big fish.
A bird’s belly, Unlike swallowing stones You do not sit quietly in my gizzard Almost remembered until I need you. You dance freely in the streets like Skeletons at midnight.
We kissed at strange hours, Cinnamon and laughter and falling Vibrant and red in each other’s arms I see only the color of the flowers that Lasted for far too long.
I loved you in the assembly. Ben looked awkward, but I hope he was digging it.
You interpreted my emotions during those few minutes perfectly. Everyone could probably tell I was anxious, but I just feel like you knew what was going on better than they because you know me so well. And thank you so much for the compliment.
Anyway, I'm wondering how you're doing. I guess I have no clue what you've been up to lately at all. You have no idea how much at peace I've felt with myself since we spoke. I described it to Alexa as the greatest emotional breath of fresh air I've felt since I can remember, and I think that's really accurate. If you're not really down with playing catch-up and all that, it's cool, but I'm curious as to where you are in life. No small talk.
Ben (assuming you're talking about Ben Amy) had the most intense pelvic thrusts ever. Man, that air was getting hella fucked. Wow.
That said, I would love to play catch-up. I'm sure there's so much we could tell each other about everything. Additionally, I hear you about the emotional breath of fresh air - I certainly felt the same way. You caught me completely off guard; I didn't know what to think.
I have a proposal. My parents go out of town tomorrow for a week. How would you feel about coming over some afternoon or maybe this weekend? A nice loaf of French bread, some wine. Sounds pretty rad to me. Also, I'm sure the Feef would be happy to see you.

They also had to eliminate the Beatles cover band.

Was there any particular motivation/inspiration for this poem?
