As pitiful as I can be, I think I can be proud of the fact I have endured suffering many people would find unimaginable. I have dragged on even when life seemed fundamentally and absolutely meaningless, when the world seemed alien and hostile, when I had forgotten what it feels like to be human and when there was no end in sight to any of this.
