Lest we forgot

So today was Anzac day. I did nothing special. I do feel patriotic I guess but I feel sometimes the government (not to mention the media) tries to romanticise war and make it seem like it's all justified to let barely adult young men go off and die for - not their country - but a political cause decided upon by the leaders to further their ( Read more... )

hey

so sorry about monday night. I had a really shitty day at work and completely forgot about the plans. Leeanne called just as my train arrived at bankstown. My sister then offered to drive me there and we were on our way so I called Leeanne to tell her that I was coming. She said that you guys were just going to stay home cos Andrew was tired or something and that it would just be the two of us!

Again, I am so sorry!

heya, no need to be sorry!! It wasn't your fault - it was just that andrew didn't want to go to both the townie AND the AYH like we'd sorta planned with leeanne so we were going to do one or the other - if you'd have turned up we would have just come to the townie!! As it happened we went to newtown anyway to watch the comedy thing and leeanne's house and watched the movie so it was all good, don't worry about it! It's just that we didn't really have any FIXED plans and they kinda just fell apart - still had a good night though! And I can afford to lay off the alcohol - i've been drinking far too much lately. But we'll do something soon, yeah? Did you still want to go to the footy on Sunday? Andrew is working from 1-5 I think but I can still come!
