COUNT: 6

5 & 6: I've been remiss in remembering to update this, but oddly, these two were both in the same area of the house and looked more or less alike: a compact, black-widow-lookin' thing on the wall of the stairwell.  Each were crushed in tissues and flushed.  I know I did this.  No one can tell me it's the same damn spider coming back for revenge.

This afternoon I eradicated a colony of spiders, half of them visibly preggers, at least 4 different species that had taken up residence in my mint plants in the garden.

Step 1: Tore mint plants out cautiously while battling major case of heebeejeebees.

Step 2: Rather than squashing (due to the horrific possibility of millions of baby arachnids being released) I doused the garden in poison.

Step 3: Watched and sprayed any survivors.

Step 4: Used poison on the perimeter of the house to prevent any refugees from entering the abode...though surely the cat would make a snack out of any who might foolishly choose to enter.

Death count: At least 40, not counting the unborn.

The way you each seem to draw motivation from the other, I can't decide whether it's You, or The Spiders that's Batman (the other being The Joker, of course).
