15: I want to make it clear right away that this was the most enormous, terrifying spider I have ever seen in all my years keeping this log and living at this house. either spider season has died down or my no spider left behind kill policy has properly re-educated/eradicated the suckers. only seldom now will one stroll down pillow while i'm reading in bed.

There's a point at which all the spiders that are outside get killed by the winter climate, right? Maybe that's happening?

I just realized that I have no idea where spiders go during the winter. Do they hibernate underground or just hole up inside our houses? It is now clear that we must remain ever vigilant.
