I'm fast losing faith in any sort of useful service we are receiving from the Post Office ( Read more... )

I'm not a fan of socializing health care (look at how long it takes to get services in Canada, and how fast you can get them here - granted, it's only if you can pay for it. But, you can get it quick. Wow, that's selfish).

Jeez your print is small on your page! :-p crtl +, and repeat ;-)

Oh, and "Hi"

After having been a medical photographer for 2+ years, I spent too long working inside a hospital to have a good attitude regarding privatized healthcare. (and this, admittedly, was at one of the better hospitals in the nation -- chicago's children's memorial -- where, due to their patients being nearly 100% children, they're a lot more committed to decent healthcare)

Which aspect do you want me to rant on: the whole doctors with a god-complex thing, hospital administrators who don't give a damn about anything but who is going to pay them, insurance litigators and crappy HMO's that only want your fees without coughing up any services, etc., etc., etc...?

As usual, everything comes down to $$$$$. Your health, your body, and your well-being is nothing more than a few folded bills in someone's pocket.

Basically, my attitude is that, "it can't get any worse...". Ugh!

I'll agree that administrators can be ... somewhat self-focussed.

And, that other stuff isn't great either. My experience has been exceptional, and that's understandable considering who my dad is and how pushy he is.

One time when that comes up to benefit me, ouch.

And, it can always get worse.

On that cheery note...

I generally trust the USPS to do most things. Then again, I'm strangely trustful with most people doing most things.

I think part of the problem is really that nothing cool comes in the mail anymore. Your friends send you emails instead of letters, your paycheck is direct-deposited, and packages come from one of the other services.

Poor USPS. They're so behind the times.

Good point. If only they would merely leave that vacuum. Instead, it gets filled with a bucket full of junk that -- not only do I not look forward to, as I used to the cool stuff that would come in the mail -- rather I actively avoid.

Geez, the Victoria's Secret catalog isn't even fun anymore. The only interesting stuff is in Fredrick's.
