There seems to be a lot of this going around lately. At least, I'm seeing a lot of "I'm trimming my f'list because how the hell did these jerks get onto it?"
"Are you ok?" is a stupid question, but are you ok?
I'm fine, and thanks for asking. :). But yesterday, not only did I finally have enough with being tossed on the back burner, I found out what one of my so-called friends said behind my back. Apparently, when it was known that I was moving back into the area, said person had said something along the lines of: "Well, that's another good resource to have again."
Thus leading to the quite angry diatribe from last night.
After realizing that I know more than a few people that either don't know what friendship is, don't treat me with the respect I'm given, and/or ignore me for long periods of time until they need something, I've done some trimming of my friendlist on here and on Facebook.
*applauds* I'm tired of people who fall into those categories up there. A few weeks (months?) ago, I did the same thing: trimmed down my friendlist here, on Facebook, on AIM/GoogleChat, and in my phone (with the exception of the people that I kept simply so I would have their number and know not to answer if they rang me).
And now that I don't have to see/hear about their drama and BS, I feel much better.
Yeah, part of me wants to keep them in my Friends list just to keep track of them and their bullshit, but I reached a point where I couldn't abide anymore. I've more or less been stood up with absolutely no warning and damned little remorse by no less than five friends since I moved back, not including the guy tha constantly lies to EVERYONE or his nuts roommate/exgirlfriend that washed her hands of me because in spite of all I've done for her in the past (enough for a whole posting of its own, and I just might), I was too busy to move my car up so she could park behind me - forcing her and the person helping her to carry groceries for two whole blocks.
