I don't know if it was just because I was so looking forward to the season opener that I expected more, but I felt a little let down. Don't get me wrong, it was good, and definitely had some great stuff in there, but over-all I was rather underwhelmed.
Hate that I don't get the episode to a week after its been aired in the US, so everything I say has probably been said already, but my immediate thoughts are
1/ We've only got Ezekiel's word for it that he's who he says he is.
2/ the subplot with Hael showed us that the Angels need to possess new vessels to survive when the old ones start wearing out.
3/ When Ezekiel appeared in Sam's head as Dean he continued the conversation Sam had been having with dream Dean earlier - so just how long had he been in Sam's head and might he have been manipulating Sam's dream?
4/ Is Dean just blindly trusting Ezekiel or does he have a Plan B? What happened in the rest of that conversation with Crowley that we didn't get to hear? o_O
Totally agree with everything you said! Really don't trust Ezekiel, and thought myself that Dean is taking a lot on faith (which is rather ironic for him ;p).
