CD Selling Advice?

So, if i'm going to sell of a heck of a lot of CDs (let's call it somewhere between 500-1000), and my first line of defense will be used CD stores with a back up of pawn shops, here's my query: how do i keep from giving them the impression that i've stolen all of these CDs from someone? Is it sufficient that i'm more than willing to provide ID

for the Cheapo on Snelling in St. Paul, I didn't need anything, but I did need the CD cases.

Wow. They didn't make you fork over your driver's license? I've only sold CDs in NM, where theft is so rampant, they basically have to take down all of your info. Cases...i have those. I was just worried about walking in with an entire collection and looking suspicious. ;)

Eek! I guess the CD market has really tanked. Last time i sold CDs to a proper shop, the min they'd offer you was 1$ (or they'd just say they didn't want them at all). You might be right about eBay.

Generally, dress well, tell them you are working on moving and need to pair down your collection. They will probably want ID/info but if you don't look like a crackhead i think you would do fine.

I'd like to have a look at the CDs too, if you're not in a super rush. I can't today, though. Tomorrow afternoon would be the earliest.

Nah, not a huge rush. Not like i'm leaving tomorrow or anything. And i still need to burn everything to the computer. I figure, though, that anything you might want is going to go in my local/rare/must keep categories ;)
