As of right about now, I have been up for 38 and a half hours. (What say ye, clex_monkie89!) I have beat my old record of 34 hours. Go me! And I also think I'm hallucinating a bit. I keep seeing crawling things in my peripherals, but when I turn my head there's nothing there. But I swear I'm seeing spiders crawling on the wall or running across my desk. Not ( Read more... )

38 1/2 hours without sleep? *bows to the master*

I remember I went a little over 24 hours and I fell asleep for five seconds while walking down a hall to get to my next class. Luckily, I didn't bump into anyone.

Only for five seconds. It was one of those moments that you feel your brain shutting down, but your body keeps doing what it was doing. In my case, it was walking.

44 hours? Are you an insomniac? I usually sleep regularly, but lately sleep disinterests me to the point where I just skip on it.

no, I sleep when i'm tired....and sometimes that doesn't come for a while, or when i AM tired, i've got stuff to do. By the time i finish with the stuff, i'm no longer tired, so i just do stuff until i AM tired. -shrugs- i'm really not an insomniac, I just don't sleep that often. sometimes I only need like four or five hours of sleep, and sometimes i need 14.

What're you doing come the Spring? Where will you go? New life? New horizons? Starting that road trip?

Precisely. Or that's my hope at least. If my car makes it through the winter (I think I'll ask my family for money for Christmas and put it all into car repairs) I want to quit my job and hit the road. I'd like to visit as many friends (real life and internet) as I possibly can before I find someplace to settle down (or just go back home if I should find nothing). It's honestly my biggest dream. Road tripping. And I'd bring my video camera along to chronicle the trip. I'll have to stock up on tapes and maybe get extra camera batteries. It's going to be epic.

Wow. That's so awesome! You should use your LJ voice post feature to chronical your journey too, so we can all follow along through LJ.

And what a great idea! I didn't even think about voice posts. I've got the number saved in my cell phone, so that would be doable.
