The first part is exactly how I feel. I feel like time is running out and as much as I don't want to be desperate, I want to have kids and the clock is ticking on that. It has been a good 7 years since I had a proper boyfriend - not that I haven't been on a few little dates and had lovers, but I'm so tired of all that. I want stability and happiness, someone I can have a future with.

The guy I like at work told me the other day that he wanted to wait 6 years, until he was 40, to have kids. I love gender politics... Men can wait until they're 80 to have kids with some 20 year old...

You guys are not alone. Many of us feel desperate and worried.

But the only cure I've found is enjoying my own life, making of it what I want. It seems to be working, mostly.

Go, do what you need to do, before you become too deeply bitter.
