i might be able to save it. if you can give it to me i can most likely fix it and if i can't then the tech dude at the office can. he's a genius.

that JUST happened to me. my computer had gotten so old and so riddled with viruses and spyware no one could remove that the hard drive had to be wiped and we ended up getting a whole new computer.

all my files have been deleted. all the stuff I drew and all the pictures I saved. most of all, all the little conversations I saved to remind me of things, gone for-evah!

Probably a little late, but for future reference, some other possibilities:

-Upload them onto large fee web space providers (100MBs or more), download them onto the new computer.
-Make two screen names on AIM, have both computers hooked up to the internet, file transfer.
-get a wireless home network. I just recently got one, though while I figured out how to connect the two computers using the same internet connection, I haven't figured out how to transfer the files directly from one computer to the other. I think one of the computers may just be too old to work properly with it.

Well I alredy fixed all the files and got them to the new computer by CD-burning, which took a lot of effort. Thanks for your help, tho'!
