[Kusanagi is on her way back from the buffet, energy levels back where they should be. Having to eat so often is irritating, but it's prolonging the battery life on their shells.

No expert on canine body language, when Thom approaches, she greets him about as amicably as she ever greets anyone. The goofy puppy is endearing, even to someone like the Major, who is by no stretch of the imagination a pet person.]

[The fur along Thom's back and spine is standing up. When he turns to see the Major, his stiff tail doesn't wag and there's a vacant look in his eyes. His muzzle wrinkles in a snarl.

Without a word he rushes the cyborg, clearly intending to savage her.]

[That...seems out of character. Kusanagi sidesteps his rush, and flips instantly to gunfight mode, her tactical systems complaining they don't have a combat model for Thom and demanding she download the appropriate one for his shell so they can evaluate which combat software he's running.]

[His only response is a snarl as his momentum takes him past his target, oversized feet skidding on the floor. He turns surprisingly quickly, given that he seems to be all flailing stubby limbs, and goes for her again. There are only a few feet to cover this time, and he jumps, white puppy-teeth flashing as he goes her face.]
