I'm completely unfit now, but I used to believe there was no hill to steep to climb, as long as you didn't fall off backwards. It's not that I ever did hardcore offroad, just that in Sheffield there were some really steep slopes.
I guess the 66km is going to be alot harder. Good luck with that.

Aye, Sheffield's got its fair share of hills and no mistake. I remember slogging round it many a time back when Gill used to live there, and yer good self of course on the odd occasion we visited!
Yep, the 66km will be a bitch. But I have got a clear 12 months to prepare and get trained up for it, so if I can't do it I've only got my bone idle self to blame. Reckon I'll aim for about 4 hours for the 66km, it's an achievable target.
