...at least when it comes to upload links... I tried being a nice person but then I found out that people aren't nice and wont comment when dl-ing the songs that I uploaded, I uploaded a Coldplay song for someone and by the time they got the link (about 2-4 hrs after I posted it) YSI said that the link was blocked because of too many downloads, I ( Read more... )

If yousendit blocks the file because the name in it is banned you get the same message as when too many people have downloaded. And Coldplay is definitely one of the artists which is always blocked. I suggest zipping the song and renaming the file to something meaningless. I seriously doubt over 30 people downloaded it in less than 4 hours, it hardly ever happens even with albums that have just been leaked.

it wasn't only one coldplay song... THAT's what got me mad.. .it was 3 differen't links, it was the coldplay one that I uploaded for someone...

Ah, I see :( it's really horrid of people to do that :/ Once yousendit wasn't working and I upload 5 songs to my personal server. 5 people commented to say they were taking them...but my server showed that 1GB of bandwidth had been used, which means there must have been around 200 downloads! It's enough to make you want to throw something at them.

I guess it's a risk we take being in sharing comms *sigh*
