i didn't even notice that! i was more confused by the hammer + nail the guy's carrying...although i suppose crucifixion is a pretty dirty job.

ugh, the newscaster on cnn just said that something was as "thick as kudzu" + i got a flashback of poppy z. brite...

I'd rather have flashbacks of drunken vomitting in August at Pennsic War than flashbacks of poppy z. brite's "work". Never before have I read anything so trite, so shallow, so BAD that I had to shove it in other people's faces and scream "YOU HAVE TO READ THIS, IT IS SO TERRIBLE!!!"
