C'est dommage que tu ne peux pas parler francais.

Obviously you can read a little bit of it if you can pull out those four elements.

Sprechen=/=lesen. Plus, I skim it, a lot like my sister- my mind glazes over and highlights enough words to get an idea.

Your German is kind of wordy- dann nicht lesen conveys the same point.
