Oh wow, that is really intense. I hope things get better for your grandparents. My great-aunt recently had a hip replacement surgery. If your grandfather does well in physical therapy and heals up nicely, there's a good chance he would be able to go home? (If that's what he or the family wants.)

Thanks Amy. Yeah if he heals up and acts normally, he will be able to go home. But he does have alzheimer disease, so we really hope he doesn't go off into lala land and stay there. D;
