It was the summer holidays. Hugo Weasley, Professor of the Defense Against the Dark Arts, was taking a well-deserved break from Hogwarts and preparing lectures. During the summer holidays, he stayed with his sister Rose in her flat. Since Hugo spent most of his time at Hogwarts, he didn't bother renting his own place. Aina, when she came over, also stayed with Rose, which Rose enjoyed because living alone could get terribly boring. This time wasn't very different.
Aina had arrived the night before and Rose might have been more excited than Hugo. Rose, being a Healer, spent most of her time at St. Mungo's, leaving very little for socializing and friends. Even after Scorpius had told her that if she would only move in, she'd never have to work another day of her life. Rose had invited Lily over and both girls were having tons of fun telling Aina embarrassing stories of Hugo's childhood.
"..and then! And then!" Rose was clutching at her sides. "Lily, you tell it, I can't breath."
Lily giggled and waved her hand vaguely. "It was this tiny for months. Poor Hugo," she giggled.
Aina felt it was a little disloyal to be laughing at Hugo as such, but it was far too hard not to. She laughed along with the two girls. There was a loud crashing downstairs. Rose yelled a curse and hopped off the bed, throwing open the bedroom door. "Don't you dare break my china!" she sceamed.
"We're not. That was -hic- You-go falling off his chair!" came the response, followed by drunken laughter.
Rose came back inside her bedroom and closed the door. "Men," she muttered, rolling her eyes. "Can't even hold their alcohol."
"Really," Lily shook her head.
Downstairs, the boys were also having their own little party. Hugo had asked Scorpius and Albus over to enjoy a fine bottle of Ogden's Old Firewhiskey that a student had given him for Christmas. By the loud sounds they were making, they were quite clearly enjoying themselves. There was another loud round of drunken laughter. Rose took a look at her door. "Makes you wonder what they're laughing about."
"It does," Lily answered.
"Perhaps they're sharing your embarrassing stories," Aina teased.
"They better not!" Rose declared, blushing hotly at the idea of Scorpius hearing those.
Then, suddenly, all was quiet.
Rose looked at the door again. "That's...ominous."
"NO!" came the shout from downstairs, followed by another round of laughter.
"That's better," Lily laughed.
Just as suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs. Loud, hurried and drunken footsteps. Rose sat up. None of them were in clothing ready to receive visitors. Lily and Aina also watched the door, but nothing happened for a while. The noise stopped. Rose let out a sigh. "Maybe they went into Hugo's room to fetch some---dear Merlin!" she screamed as her door flung open.
In came three very drunk boys, one of whom was shirtless and had a rose clamped between his teeth. "HUGO WEASLEY!" Rose screeched.
"Don't be jealous, Rosie, you'll get your turn," Scorpius slurred, leaning against the doorway.
Aina was somewhere between horror and amusement, as Hugo started an impromptu striptease. "Oh, dear Merlin, I can't watch this!" Rose declared, grabbing Lily's wrist and hopping off her bed. Lily was laughing her head off. Rose stormed out the door, grabbing her boyfriend by the collar as she went. Lily paused to hit her brother on the head. The door closed behind them. Hugo tossed the rose on the bed and raised an eyebrow. "Welcome back," he slurred. "I missed you, love."
"I missed you too," Aina had to smile. She reached out a hand and pulled him towards her. Might as well capitalize on his half-naked state. "C'mere, you."
Hugo complied happily, kissing her passionately. "You've been gone far too long," he muttered.
"Mmmm," was her answer.
They froze as the door swung open. "AND DON'T STAIN MY SHEETS!" Rose yelled before the door closed again.
