Title: Letters to Home ( 15. Omissible)
Genre: Romance
Characters: Suresh Slytherin, Nymphadora Tonks
Rating: GP, one sort of 'bad' word
Word Count: 550 words
Summary: Tonks writes home to her parents and Suresh has problems with the content.
Author's Notes: Okay. This is stupid. Seriously. I don't know where my fluff bunnies have gone, but I have to get rid of some muses. I'm sure there's much more to this pairing than the crap contained within, but for now, I hope you still enjoy.

Suresh observed as Tonks wrote yet another letter to her mother. How many letters did one person write in a week? Personally, he only wrote weekly reports to his father and mother, to assure them that he was behaving well and his grades were as they should be. Bi-weekly letters, in fact, if he could get away with them and if nothing terribly important happened to him or Adelaide. He watched as she wrote with deliberate strokes. His own penmanship was better than hers, but she had a neat, rounded style. He tapped his fingers impatiently on the table.

"Stop it," Tonks scolded as her inkwell started shaking.

Suresh laid his hand flat on the table and resumed to watching her write. "What are you writing about?" he asked at length.

"Ciaran."

Suresh tried not to twitch. He was fully aware that Tonks had fancied the Irish boy when she was younger. "Why?"

"Mum likes Ciaran. Thinks he's a good boy."

"You've written to her about Ciaran before?"

"Yes," Tonks nodded as she dotted her sentence before dipping her quill in her inkwell. Suresh was quiet as he watched Tonks continue to write. After a paragraph, he spoke again.

"Is it still about Ciaran?"

"No."

Suresh didn't like that he felt relieved. "What is it about now?"

"Sirius."

"What?"

"Sirius got the highest marks in Potions the other day," Tonks muttered. "Mum loves Sirius, so it's pretty important he actually topped Hermione."

He was quiet again.

"Have you..."

"What now?" Tonks asked impatiently. She wasn't a very prolific letter writer so writing took a lot of her concentration.

"...tinbame?"

"What?"

"Have you...wrinbatme."

Tonks looked up at Suresh. "I'm just not...what?"

"Have you...written about me?"

"Oh," Tonks said, nodding. "No."

"Why?!"

"Coz."

"WHY?!"

"Should I write home about you?" Tonks asked, trying her best to keep her face straight.

Suresh muttered darkly under his breath.

"Pardon?" Tonks asked, tilting her head.

"I thought you would. You write about Sirius and Ciaran and..."

"Did you write home about me?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Father isn't interested about my personal life, just my academic life and if Adelaide's still alive."

"Well, if I'm not important enough to write home about," Tonks said, returning to her letter. "I don't need to write about you either."

Suresh cussed in Parseltongue.

"Stop hissing."

"Eh, shut up," he muttered in Parseltongue.

She stared at him and responded. "Eh, shut up."

Suresh jumped backwards before he realized she was just copying him. He reached over to pinch her nose.

"Do you want me to write home about you?" Tonks asked in a weird voice. He let go of her nose.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Coz I'm your boyfriend, dammit," he muttered in Parseltongue.

Tonks rolled her eyes and returned to her letter, signing her name with a flourish.

"I'm not in it?"

"Ah, you're speaking in English again. Good, I thought you had turned into a snake."

"Don't be like that, Tonks."

"Don't be like what?" she muttered as she stood up and started walking out. Suresh blocked her path. "Give me one good reason why I should put you in my letters and don't you dare say it in Parseltongue or I will cut your tongue out!"

Suresh kissed her.
