When I consume a particularly large amount of caffeine, I have minor hallucinations. I think I catch sight of a cat in the corner of the room out of the corner of my eye, for instance, and about jump out my seat.

This is unusual, no?

Oh, good. I'll have another cuppa then. I don't have the peaks and troughs from it that I used to have, I think I've developed rather a superhuman tolerance to most effects of this stimulant.

i would say "get decaf" but i think you're going to come up with some suitably smart answer as to why that's a rubbish idea.

You can get half-decaf-half-regular coffee now. I assume it has all the benefits of caffine but it means you will live twce as long, or something.
