Thanks... She'd been sick for a while. She lost a lot of weight over the past few months. We thought it might be old age, or her just not being able to process the food anymore, so we tried a few different kinds of food but they didn't really help. She just kept getting worse and developing more health issues. The vet at Angell Memorial said that she wasn't likely to survive the rigorous testing that it would take to figure out if she had insulinoma and ulcers and suchlike, and her quality of life had clearly declined... so we made the tough choice and had her put down.
She's buried at my parent's house, in the back of the backyard on the left. All we could find to mark the spot on short notice was half a decorative brick, but I plan to go back and put something better up there.
