way to research. i know where to shop next time i need some unders. confession: 1/3 of my underwear collection is from the thrift store! i put my faith in hot water and bleach.

Your confession gave me the courage to purchase my first ever boxers from the thrift store. :) Nothing improper or scratchy has happened to my loins yet as a result, so I think I'm safe.
