I see I'm not the only one who had an odd dream last night. And I'm pretty sure I didn't eat anything before going to sleep.

Anyone good at interpreting dream symbolism? What do you make of a scarecrow with a book in one hand and a pair of little bells in the other?

psychoanalysis please, gathering evidence, revolving reveries, event

He use the bells to frighten birds away, and reads the book to avoid boredom?

I don't think I'm good at interpreting dream symbolism.

Me neither. That was somewhat along the lines of what I was thinking...apparently we both just think too literally.

I'd suggest you go look for a book on the subject, but that's not an option right now.

It's not? Why's that?

[A few pen taps]

A husk of a person with decorations and all the physical means to accumulate knowledge, but without the ability to make any use of it?

Hmm. I wonder if that's supposed to be anyone I know.

I'm not sure. I would imagine the dreams belong to someone- that seems to be the general gist on the journals.

A pair of them? Were they on strings?

Yes! Like little jingle bells.

I did not see a scarecrow or a book. But I think the book I did see birds! And colors and heard several voices.

I think you want to speak with Bell.

Bell? Wait, you don't mean--was this his dream?

Well, now. That is an interesting dream. And such fascinating interpretations, too.

Spirit, right? I think I'm the one you wanted to talk to.

You certainly are. Any of that sound familiar to you?

Considering that was what I had to go on when I arrived here, yes, it does.

A scarecrow - harvest and sentinel
book - knowledge and learning
bells - music or dance; celebration

Perhaps it is the deification of a local hero into a god or guardian with those aspects.
