Alright after my last meeting with the brass of the company I work for we all came to an agreement. I could play anything I want in the store as long as it is kinda mellow (this should be taken very liberally..since I have already had B.B. The Beastie Boys have two instrumental albums out now, if they're not too "funky".

Funky isn't a problem....subject matter is.

It definitely makes one be more creative on what they pick.

Hit me with your selections and I will filter it from this end. I mean I know what time of day to make mixes for.

It is either this or we listen to Chopin all day and night. Which you can see take a definite toll on the staff.

Which Beasties songs are you referring too?

Their new album, The Mix Up, is all instrumental I believe. And they have an older album called The In Sound From Way Out. It's a compilation of instrumental tracks from other albums actually.
