Today I went to the pictures. Not very unusual you might think, but its something I hadn't done for at least five years. The lure of Colin Firth was too much to resist. I'm glad to say that my weight loss is continuing and have shed 6 1/2 stone now. I started parking at the furthest end of the car park so I get a little walk in the morning and again in the afternoon. My department office was moved up a floor and I take the stairs each day. I was going to go to the PRO at Kew yesterday, but didn't feel in the mood. We went to Southampton on Wednesday so Hazel could visit the University there. We all had a lovely Christmas. Doug came home for a few days and my sister, Frances, visited on Boxing Day. Really down in the dumps. This attack of cystitis is really persistent. I'm on my second lot of antibiotics, got a shitload of work to do but daren't go in in case of an "accident".
