Wow, I didn't catch that at all when watching the latest clip ._o But I honestly can't understand half of what anyone is saying in the dub, soooo yeah. I caught something about Catholics and was... maybe not miffed, but a little surprised. I think Funi might be having a little TOO much fun with the scripts, honestly. I agree, it's starting to sound a little South Park-ish.

I didn't see the latest clip but to see that is just more than disappointing.

I was honestly gonna support the dub, but naaaah forget it. I'm also miffed with some of the fandom going, "OMFG don't take it so seriously! Because you know, 100% support hetalia you guys should be thankful!" UGGGGH.

XD I don't care about being Cathloic (hahaha - but that's JUST ME) but even then, they shouldn't be making these types of jokes. It's still wrong.

It's interesting to see the split in the fandom, and unfortunate. I enjoyed that tiny little sliver of time that I got to be part of a fandom that WASN'T fucking insane and trying to kill one another. But all good things come to an end right :P ( ... )

Well, I think it's just cause on the main comm, I'm tired of seeing people with the same opinion as me get attacked and labeled as butthurt elitists cause we don't like these script changes. We like the VAs. We like Hetalia. But I can't support stuff like those script changes. That's all. :3 I also do not mind people with the differing opinion of, "It's satire" and that is FINE. However, the main comm is filled with 1000% SUPPORT THE DUB AND IT'S NOT COOL TO HNOT LIKE THE DUB.

XD haha, same here. But I don't think Hetalia is the place to be making dead baby humor. It's not where Himaruya envisioned Hetalia to be. There are offensive things in Hetalia, but not as big as the non-fandom makes it out to be. We get a lot of shit in Hetalia already because most non-fans think we make light of WWII and history and its tragedies and with this dub, now we have nothing to defend ourselves with.

I enjoy Family Guy and South Park, I really do. But Hetalia is NOT that sort of comedy. SIGH.

To be honest, I found the original just as offensive. The entire reason I ever had any interest in hetalia to begin with was how offended I was that it existed in the first place. Then I realized I was the only one being offended by how, oh I dunno, as a Jew I wasn't too crazy about the cutsification of Nazi germany and all that, everyone told me I was butthurt and all this so eventually I didn't voice my complaints.

But I'm sorry, I don't see funimation as being the one responsible for hetalia being offensive, it was offensive in the first place.

Man, that sucks. You must deal with exponentially more wank than me if you even dare say the original is offensive. (It is to be honest, but the original didn't bother me.) I'm sorry you had to deal with that crap. Screw them. It's just cool to be a douche on the internet nowadays. Sigh.

I dunno, I know the original was offensive (the level varies from person to person and for me it was only slight; however that is just for me and it was fine for me) but this puts it on NEW HIGH LEVELS OF FAMILY GUY/AIMING FOR SOUTH PARK DEAD BABY HUMOR offensive. I hope that makes sense. But yeah I blame Funi for that and changing America into a douche he never was.

Also: Nah, don't apologize for having an opinion. Just cause it differs from mine, doesn't make it any less valid. I just hate on people who think "OMG DUB 100000% AND IF YOU HATE ON ANYTHING HETALIA, GOD FORBID YOU HAVE AN OPINION SO GO HAVE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!" in the fandom. You is cool.

Thanks for being nice, it's more than I can say for a lot of people in this fandom (and on the inet in general, sadly).

For what it's worth, I find south park and especially family guy extremely offensive (family guy is ridiculously chauvinistic, it's sad because I think it would be a very funny show if not for that).

I like to consider myself a considerate person so I should at least be the part and be nice. Just cause you and I don't agree doesn't mean we have to bash each other. After all, I am now a hypersensitive, butthurt elitist as well apparently, for not liking DUB HETALIA! And especially now since I am now 'whining' since I am now against the masses.

And bah. Trolls/people who are douches are honestly the most pathetic people. I pity them. Condescending much? Of course not!

Ah I like South Park and Family Guy. I do realize it is offensive though. However, I believe that like Hetalia DUB! You shouldn't go around saying that shit like it's cool. >/ I hope that makes sense too?
