Easiest way to catch a liar
Part of my training on the career path of professional pokerist is to profile & read people, natch. So, best way to catch a liar? Ask a question that you suspect will give the person opportunity to lie or truth you, then REMAIN SILENT. if they tell the truth they will answer & that's it. If they lie, they'll continue talking if you remain silent, probably changing the subject or pushing accusations in a different direction.
Take my cleaning lady... No, really... Take her. Cute as a button, wonderful Russian accent, nice ass... Ok, I'm a sucker for broads, but one day, about a month ago she was cleaning in the bedroom while I was working on the computer in the office room(probly porn or poker...or both), & I heard a crashing sound. I didn't think much of it, coz I was, er, busy. I thought if she had broken something she woulda told me, right? Well, I firgit all about it, then a week later, I notice a piece of the glass shelf that holds my tv was mysteriously absent. I thought, okay she musts broken it & forgotten to tell me& just three away the broken glass. So yesterday, gonzo & I rearranging my office room, I find the missing piece of glass stashed behind a bookshelf. Now there's no way that just walkedovet to the other room by itself, so she purposefully HID the evidence!!! WTF? So I left the piece of glass on the shelf so she'd see it when she came today. Finally I just asked her straight out if she'd broken it... She then proceeded to show me what she normally cleans in the bedroom & told me about a colleague of hers who broke a tv once & her daughters toothache, you get the picture, she said no. Oh, I wish I could have her on the poker table.
