And what have I been doing? Working. A lot. When I'm not at work, for a while I was working on renovating the basement where I'm staying now. So far we've built a guest bedroom and the beginnings of a bar. Installing a wood stove down there was no small feat either. It was fun to learn about basic carpentry and get some experience with that ( Read more... )

Really glad to hear from you even if it is just through LJ. Should maybe message you or email you again, but I'm a weenie.

Probably, but I'm also kind of a recluse at times.

Awesome! I'm a slow reader... I'm only 'bout half way through GEB, but it's absolutely fascinating. Especially in the context of my life.

Holy crap, Adam is reading Thomas Sowell? Awesome. I used to read quite a bit of Sowell between high school and college. I was particularly fond of A Conflict of Visions and Vision of the Anointed (of course).

I've also quit smoking. I've pretty much stopped drinking soda (except in the occasional mixed drink). I eat things that aren't fried, even things that are green. My parents gave me a punching bag for christmas, so that will help me deal with stress from here on out. My workout regimen has been going strong lately, though its a fairly weak ordeal. 100 push ups and 100 sit ups a day.

Rock on! Totally awesome, my friend. Alas, i've attempted quitting a few times. At least i'm down to about five ultra-lights a day. I was pretty good about exercising last spring through the fall, but now i need to get back on track (literally, heh). And i need to improve my diet. But alas, good for you.
