Venturing out.

Rinoa sighed as she shut down her computer monitor. She hadnt gone out much since Squall left her. Patting Angelo on the head she grabbed a light jacket and headed out of her dorm.

Squall was coming back soon. He promised to see her when he did. That thought made Rinoa's stomach turn but she shook it off and continued down the halls. She had heard of a party that was going on for Quistis.

Reluctantly leaving the safety of her dorm, she turned and headed for the quad. As she neared the corner to the quad she saw a familiar face. "Selphie?!" She asked as her face brightened a bit.

Hearing her name being called out, Selphie halted in mid-bound, readying herself to run away again if it were another one of those Trepies checking up on the party status or something else that would take her away from her 'work;' like Xu coming to scold her about neglecting her studies in lieu of all the recent planning. Luckily, it was neither of those people, and quite fortunately, it was a face she missed seeing

Rinoa chuckled softly as she was pulled by the petite girl. Angelo ran along side and barked quietly. Gasping at the decorations, Rinoa clapped her hands. "Its amazing Selphie! Quistis will love it!"

She sighed a bit at the mention of Squall. "Yes I have talked to him online. He is supposed to come see me when he gets here. Im not sure what I will do...It makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it."

She glanced at Selphie. It was all to much. She knew everyone was curious about the break-up and why Rinoa had become somewhat solitary since. But she just couldnt talk about it now.

"But this is great Selphie. Im really proud of you." She smiled warmly and ran a thin hand through her hair. "Anyway, How have you been. You look great!" She tilted her head and looked over the girl.

A wistful sort of smile that was not as becoming or customary of her fluttered across her features as she saw that Rinoa was still a bit avoidant of the subject. With no wish to make her uncomfortable by lingering on it any longer than they had to, Selphie reclaimed her disposition with the compliment, taking it just one step further

Rinoa tilted her head and placed a finger on her chin. "It couldn't hurt to get out of the dorm for awhile. And I would be honored to be a part of something like this. Okay Selphie!" She said a bit excited now. "Ill join." She nodded her head approvingly.

"About Zell. I haven't seen him in...forever. Irvine either." Rinoa blinked a few times. Truth was she hadnt seen anyone since the break-up. She covered her shame with a warm smile as she always did. "So what can I help you with for tonight?" She asked bowing to her friend teasing a bit.

The hell are they at?

Zell stood with crossed arms, right leg crossed over his left, toe of his sneaker pressed against the floor in his awkward thinking position. He could have sworn he had heard Selphie's high pitched happy voice earlier but he couldn't be sure. Thanks to the group of giggling girls coming out of the Quad he passed on his way to the cafeteria, he did know that both Selphie and Rinoa were around. Now, the only problem was to find out where they were!

Damn! Guess I gotta' try the main lobby again...Unless they were messing with him, Zell concluded he just had the worst timing possible. Supposedly Quistis and Squall came back that morning. He hadn't heard any yelling or seen Dr. Kadowaki sprinting up to Headmaster Cid's office to revive him so maybe they were running late after all. Good. Then he wasn't missing or left out in anything

Walking alongside Selphie, Rinoa folded her arms glancing at Angelo from time to time. As the wandered near the main stair case, Angelo ran ahead of them barking insanly. "Angelo! Wha...what has gotten into.."

Rinoa stopped mid-sentence to look over at the top of the staircase. It was Zell. Overcome with excitement she followed Angelo quickly and nearly tackled Zell. Throwing her arms around his neck she hugged him tightly. "We were just talking about you Zelly!" She broke the hug and looked up at him. Tilting her head she slapped her trademark smirk on her face. "Where have you been!"

If anything he should be asking her that. Resting a hand on her hip she looked at Zell and than to Selphie. It was refreshing, to say the least, to see them again.
