I actually do see a lot of White Mage, but that may just be how I view the class, especially with characters like Garnet, Minwu, and Porom. Putting that aside, it's really close between Dragoon and Black Mage... but I'm leaning towards Dragoon, as random as that may seem. Your positives can apply to any class, and your negatives can apply to both Black Mage and Dragoon pretty well, as both have characters who don't value themselves despite their talents, although the hard-on-yourself part is more Dragoon and the laziness more BM. I actually think your "[x]ed" choices fit Soldier the most, but many Dragoons are introverted and try to not be impulsive, and tend to be in between on the emotional vs. logical spectrum in the sense they're often more emotional on the inside but logical outside. I can also see many of them having a similar reaction to the situation in the forgiving vs. grudge-holding question ( ... )

If you're a BM, why is Locke in the banner...?

The ranking banners are just of each member's favorite characters, not characters within their class. I'm pretty sure no one has only their own class on them... While I like being BM, I'm not overly fond of a lot of the actual FF characters in that class, so.

This is tough! I think your positive/negative traits could fit into any of the classes technically, but when I read them combined with the rest of your application I see a lot of Dragoon as well (with elements of Soldier and Black Mage too), especially since here we also group them with Samurai like Auron. I think many of the Dragoons can be described as creative, extremely motivated when they put their minds to something, try to keep an open-mind to keep some perspective on problems (well...maybe not Kain or even Cid Highwind, but the rest of them would fit that description!). Many of the FF Dragoons tend to be pretty hard on themselves and don't always value themselves (Kimahri being a pretty good example of this). The "Brilliant but lazy trope" could at least fit for Cid Highwind or even Fang to an extent too ( ... )

I could see a lot of Soldier and Black Mage at times in your application, though I think I'm leaning the most towards a vote for Dragoon as well. Dragoons can be rather hard on themselves at times (Kimahri and Kain are pretty obvious examples of this), and that also sometimes leads them towards not placing much value on themselves as well (Kimahri in particular showcased this at times). They can be really creative and brainstorm things rather well (Cid Highwind, Freya, Fang when it came to strategies and problem-solving...Kain too), when they are really motivated they put a lot of effort into things, and generally keep an open mind and try to see different perspectives (with the possible exceptions of Cid and Kain at certain points in their story-lines).

Dragoons tend to be shyer around people they don't know, but can feel more relaxed and at ease around friends or those that share similar interests. Their cheerful and gloomy levels tend to be on a "it depends" level too, and they generally at least try not to be very impulsive ( ... )

It's not so much that I am a fan of his as I am a fan of his magnificent, glorious bastardy.

Barthandelus is god-like yes, but even his kind are not infallible. I think it was the fact that everything was planned many years in advance was what won me over. Also, gods aren't always omnipotent. Key examples to bring up are the Aesir and Vanir of Norse Mythos: most of them will be destined to die in Ragnarok and by the time the war ends to lead to a new world, there will be only a few left. Another case is that of the Tuatha de Danaan from Celtic Mythos, who were defeated by the Milesians.

I can definitely see where the Dragoon votes are coming from , but actually my first impression for you was Black mage. Black mages strikes me as creative and open minded, they're usually more introverted than extroverted overall andn a mix of reserved/impulsive, energetic/calm like you mentioned you are. I was kind of tempted to say Dragoon in the end to be honest, since you see quite the loner and you mentioned you prefer to work by yourself something that really reminds me mostly of dragoons but your answers in general reminds me a bit more of black mage in the end (but it was reaaally close between black mage and dragoon)

I love your icon btw :D
