7 official quest translations
I decided to repost some quest translations here since people seem interested in translations.
The translations were originally posted by ujhbn at Dissidia Forums. You can view the original thread here.
Here's the list of character quests included in this post:
Vaan, Yuna, Firion (012), Squall (012), Cecil (012), Cloud (012), Tidus (012)
Now I'm only going to copy-paste things. None of what's below was written by me!
Foreword
I'm not a Japanese Pro and English is my second language, as you can see from my poor choice of words, therefore
Warning: This translation is prone to have errors/mistranslations!
I did tried my best to check though, using various translators/dictionary/asking friends etc.
If you know Japanese and would like to help, or know somewhere has a better translation, or can help on translating the bits that I can't, or just feel there's something wrong, you are more than welcome to tell me through PM, VM, or post in the Discussion Thread.
(Kayarine's note: If you have any corrections or want to help translate the untranslated bits, feel free to post it in a comment on this entry and I'll relay the info to him and edit this version. I'll give full credit for the help, of course.)
This is in progress and I will eventually translate all of them. But don't expect fast update though, the first 10 took me a month to finish. XD

The 12th Cycle
Vaan, a young warrior in the midst of his battles with the forces of Chaos.
Learning more about his friends as the days go by,
they each strive for victory in this divine conflict.
In this world of constant battle, one may suddenly meet with a friend,
or lose one unexpectedly. It happens more often than not.
Vaan has lost sight of his friends, who had gone ahead together.
He attempts to catch up to them when he hears a familiar voice.
[Cosmos]: Warriors...
[Vaan]: That voice... is that Cosmos?
[Cosmos]: ...The world is steeped in battle.
Chaos’ power is becoming stronger…
[Vaan]: Cosmos! …is that true?
[Cosmos]: Chaos' power grows as the battles continue...
You must help me before it is too late...
[Cosmos]: Warriors, hear my plea...
Please... gather before me at Sanctuary.
[Cosmos]: I wait for you...
[Vaan]: Oh, she's gone... was that really Cosmos?
“Gather before me at Sanctuary.” I wonder if the others heard it, too.
[Vaan]: ...If everyone is return to Sanctuary, that means I can get back to the group,
although it wasn't easy making it this far.
[Vaan]: Um? Who’s that over there?
Hey! Haven’t seen you before ...are you from this world?
[Tidus]: …No, I’m not.
I was summoned here by Chaos.
[Vaan]: Chaos? …that means you're my enemy.
If you're looking for a fight, I won't hold back.
[Tidus]: …Okay, I'll fight you,
But...lemme ask you something, even though you're my enemy.
[Tidus]: Do you have any memory?
Do you remember anything about yourself before you woke up in this world?
[Vaan]: Memory…? Not much at first.
After a while, though, I started to remember various bits and pieces.
[Tidus]: Alright then...so, we fight. You ready?
[Vaan]: Huh? Now? You still wanna fight?
[Tidus]: It's simple. I've got nothing against you or anything.
…I just wanna try fighting for once.
[Vaan]: You're really strange, asking me questions. I'm your enemy, remember?
...Fine, let's do this.

[Tidus]: ………………!
[Vaan]: Is that all? If so, I'm gonna get going.
I need to get back to Sanctuary.
[Tidus]: Sorry to hold you up,
But, hey… I wanna ask you one more thing.
[Vaan]: Okay then. What is it?
[Tidus]: Is there someone called

[Vaan]: Yeah, there is.
He’s an older guy, a little rude…
[Vaan]: He's from the same world as that girl, Yuna….
Eh… He’s already gone.
[Vaan]: Whatever. Gotta return to the Sanctuary.
[Lightning]: Vaan! Never expected to see you here.
Did you hear Cosmos’ voice too?
[Vaan]: Oh, Lightning and Yuna.
Yeah, I heard her. "Gather at the Sanctuary," right?
[Yuna]: So, Vaan is going back to Sanctuary as well.
Cosmos… what does she want to tell us?
[Vaan]: That reminds me. Yuna, Um… I don’t know his name…
but, do you know a guy about the same age as me?
[Vaan]: A while ago, he asked if Jecht was with us.
I thought you might know him.
[Yuna]: About the same age as you…? That guy, by any chance,
did he laugh a lot, was he sort of cheery….
[Vaan]: Not really. He didn't seem that way.
He was sorta sad. Not a cheery guy at all.
[Yuna]: I see…I wonder who he is.
I'll ask Sir Jecht about him later.
Vaan continues on his way towards Sanctuary,
all the while recalling the young man he had met earlier.

The 12th Cycle
Some time after the warriors of Cosmos set out into the world of conflict,
The Goddess of Harmony, Cosmos, pleaded for them to return to
Sanctuary with a message sent with a phantom of herself.
The warriors had joined together and then separated repeatedly while
fighting against the forces of Chaos in battle after battle.
Yuna was travelling with Lightning at the time, and
they both heard Cosmos' plea to return.
Although not entirely understanding why, the two young women
are returning to Sanctuary, where they had started their journey.
[Lightning]: Sent out to fight....
and now I'm told to head back to base?
[Yuna]: Do you think it's important?
That's the only reason I can think for Cosmos to call us.
[Lightning]: It's not like we can understand what the Gods think.
It's beyond our comprehension.
[Lightning]: I could see a sternness in her in her eyes, though.
Was it just because that was a phantom image?
[Yuna]:I noticed that, too.
Her eyes were different from the last few times we saw Cosmos.
[Lightning]: Although we don't know what's up,
it can't possibly be good news.
[Yuna]: Yes...
[Lightning]: Doesn't really matter anyway. It won't change the war.
I'll just keep fighting alongside the others stuck with this same fate.
[Yuna]: I will too... Light.
It's no use worrying about it right now.
[Yuna]: Let's go.
I'm getting anxious. I wanna hear what Cosmos has to say.
[Yuna]: Sanctuary is fairly close now.
Still, please be careful. What's that...?
[Lightning]: Yeah, just a bit more.
Apparently... we have an unwelcome visitor.
[Golbez]: Warriors of Cosmos.
You two seem to be heading back to Sanctuary.
[Lightning]: Golbez...
Meeting you around here. Yuna, be careful.
[Golbez]: …Has Cosmos called you back?
I have seen other warriors returning to Sanctuary, as well.
[Yuna]: If you have seen your enemy....
Why are you here, instead of fighting them?
[Golbez]: It is useless to fight at the enemy's camp.
…However, meeting face-to-face like this, is another story.
[Lightning]: So that means, you're looking for a fight...
[Golbez]: ...... correct.
[Yuna]: Light! Let's go!

Battle: Vs Golbez

[Golbez]: It's seems Cosmos has begun her plan.
To place all her hopes in them... the warriors who answer her plea must be good.
[Yuna]: Her hopes? Answer her plea?
[Lightning]: Gone... Cosmos's hopes?
Seriously, what more could she want from us?
[Yuna]: That man, do you think he knows something?
[Yuna]: Ah... Light.
Is that Vaan over there?
[Vaan]: Okay... Are you two going back to Sanctuary?
Me too. Let's go together then.
[Lightning]: Alright, we are counting on you.
[Yuna]: We're close to Sanctuary.
Let's hurry to Cosmos.
[Laguna]: Hey~ Lightning! Vaan and Yuna too!
See Tifa, just like I said, it's this way~
[Lightning]: Laguna, Tifa! you heard what Cosmos said don't you?
We are on the way back to the Sanctuary though...
[Tifa]: What? That's the way to Sanctuary?
Laguna... were we going in the wrong direction?
[Yuna]: To go back to the Sanctuary, I think we should go through the way we came from,
I think there's no doubt about it... Ah, Kain!
[Kain]: Finally caught up...! Laguna, where are you going?
Sanctuary is not this way...
[Laguna]: Eh? This shouldn't be the wrong way~ I was following the map.
We're riiiiiiiiiiiiiight around...here, right?
[Vaan]: Laguna, are you holding the map upside-down?
[Laguna]: Upside-down? Ah, should I read it like this?
...Okay, got it! Everyone follow me!
With a “new” map in hand, Laguna and his friends take off again,
aiming to the place where Cosmos is waiting, Order's Sanctuary.

After getting the Wild Rose from Laguna, Firion looks for his friends who were lost.

Happening at the same time as Theater No. 022
In side a Gateway, Firion, Laguna and Squall have picked up
a strange flower with a mysterious light.
The flower was named "Wild Rose" by Laguna
and was passed to Firion.
Not sure because of its lovely appearance, or the sound of its name,
Firion, however, cannot recall that from his memory.
The term "Wild Rose" certainly exists.
He can feel the deep relation with himself.
The three suddenly notice that their friends are not following.
Firion goes to look for them.
[Laguna]: Okay, don't get lost too~
[Firion]: Though it's good to search for the lost fellows...
Didn’t notice I have gone quite far apart.
[Firion]: まあ みんな勝手だからな
自由な奴ばかりだから 仕方ないか
[Firion]: Even so, I got this flower after all....
Carrying this around give me a strange feeling
[Firion]: ... "Wild Rose". Why the pain in my chest.
Must be something I should not forget.
[Firion]: In order to remember it sooner, I have to fight...
[Firion]: Ah... stopped to think for too long.
I have to go look for everyone now.
[Firion]: As Laguna said, I seem to be lost too.
I was careless.
[Firion]: !! ... what’s over there!
[Onion Knight]: Are you... warriors of Chaos!?
[Terra]: Warrior of Cosmos.. I will destroy...
[Onion Knight]: If you want to fight, I will be your opponent then!
... Ah! Firion!!
[Firion]: Enemy?! Are you all right?
This kid is.... a warrior of Chaos?
[Terra]: Destroy....
[Firion]: Wouldn’t you consider stepping back even when facing two enemies....
Well, there's no other way then! Can you fight?
[Onion Knight]: Ye... Yes! Of course!!

Battle: Vs Terra

[Firion]: Seems like she's gone.
Are you okay? Did you hurt?
[Onion Knight]: No need to worry about me, I'm fine!
Firion, are you all right too?
[Firion]: Yes. Ah...!
Good, the flower is fine too.
[Onion Knight]: What? Flower?
.... Firion's ?
[Firion]: Oh, Yes ... that's funny, isn't it?
You may laugh if you want. I feel strange too.
[Firion]: However, this flower and my memory are somehow connected.
I’m trying to recall that. You can have a look.
[Onion Knight]: Doesn't it wither?
So it's not a ordinary flower? Whose flower is this?
[Firion]: Well I don't know much either.
Laguna said it's called "Wild Rose".
[Onion Knight]: ...Hmmm. I see.
This flower.... is a Wild Rose.
[Firion]: Now let's go. The other fellows may have returned.
Laguna is waiting for us.
[Laguna]: Oh, thanks.
What? You only found this kid?
[Firion]: I have searched around fairly before coming back, but...
[Squall]: We will meet again in that area anyway.

[Onion Knight]: Oi Laguna
About the name of the flower Firion carrying...
[Firion]: Ah! Flower!
The Wild Rose is missing! Did I dropped it....?
[Laguna]: What~? You said you dropped it~?
A careless person you are.
**[Squall]: (...enough of your lecturing) **
[Firion]: I go to look for it!
After that, Firion goes for his search and
he sees a female picked up the flower.

Squall and Onion Knight are looking for the missing Vaan and Laguna

012 A shadow that can be seen certainly

Right after Theater No. 023
During their journey, Squall, Laguna, Vaan and Onion Knight have come across each other.
While talking about their situation, Vaan and Laguna have walked to somewhere.
After a while they were found missing.
Squall and Onion Knight were left behind.
While amazed as usual, they head towards where the two disappeared.
[Onion Knight]: **I would like some freedom once a while.
He is not bad guy though. **
[Onion Knight]: "but, because you are just a kid, that's poor"
Vaan speaks too much.
[Squall]: If compare with the fellow who's noisy all the time,
Vaan is in fact quiet.
[Onion Knight]: He's not quiet at all.
He keeps talking no matter I'm standing, sitting or walking.
[Squall]: **He just worries about you.
But still, worrying is better than those who never care other people**
[Squall]: ...and Laguna
has a similar problem too.
[Onion Knight]: You know Laguna before?
I always see you two chatting.
[Squall]: No, we didn't know each other,
He doesn't care who's there, he can just keep talking
[Squall]: ( ...still, he certainly has many chance for all these chatting)
[Onion Knight]: Squall, we should hurry
We still haven’t caught up to them.
[Squall]: **...Don't
I don't think there's any need to chase them now.**
[Onion Knight]: Perhaps,
we are on the wrong way?
[Squall]: Really, those guys would have picked the path that no others would.
[Onion Knight]: ...Those two. Makes everyone worry no matter where they go.
[Squall]: ...Look for them. Beyond this point is all yours.
I will try to find the byway that they have likely chosen.
[Onion Knight]: Understood! See you later!
[Squall]: (These guys are really troublesome...)
[Squall]: Who are you…?
[Cloud]: You are... a warrior of Cosmos.
If you do not remember, my name is Cloud.
[Squall]: ...do not remember. What are you talking about?
I don't think I have met you before.
[Cloud]: ... That's correct for this Cycle.
[Cloud]: **It's fate that we have nothing else but fight.**
...Let's start.
[Squall]: ...Ugh!!
[Cloud]: What are you thinking, fight now. And don't hold back to defeat the enemy.
If you guys don't become stronger, the Cycle will...
[Squall]: (... the heck? What's he talking about?
Well, no time to think, gotta fight...!)

[Cloud]: Not yet...
**If you guys got purified, Chaos will...**
[Squall]: ...fled.
Better look for Laguna quicker
[Laguna]: ................
[Squall]: is there... Laguna? Hey wait!
There is enemy around!
[Laguna]: Um? Where is the enemy?
[Squall]: !!
(H.. How come his voice came from behind......!?)
[Laguna]: Yo Squall, found you!
Don't play around in such a place, let's go back, ok?
[Squall]: ......I was the one looking for you.
You were the one playing around.
[Squall]: Laguna, weren't you up ahead a while ago?
[Laguna]: Not enough sleep huh~? If I were ahead,
How could I go around to your back.
[Squall]: (That shadow then...... my mistake?)
Glancing of a shadow which looks very much alike Laguna,
has left a small doubt to Squall.
Though after reunited with Laguna and Onion Knight,
with their talks, Squall is forgetting his doubt slowly.
However, the next time they see that shadow,
it becomes huge amount of enemies.

After Theater No. 034
Awaken as a warrior of Cosmos,
Cecil was just summoned. He has lost a lot of memory.
Although his childhood friend Kain remembered his stuff,
Cecil almost has no memory about Kain.
After Cosmos handed out her power,
they have been on the journey to find the Crystal.
The two, belonging to the same side,
were confronted by the wars with the warriors of Chaos.
[Cecil]: It’s quiet now… Seems like the enemy were driven off.
[Vaan]: Alright, let’s move.
Restart from the Sanctuary again.
[Vaan]: Although getting Cosmos’ power is good,
I had traveled fairly far ahead.
[Cecil]: That’s too bad.
But we have passed through this way before, this time we should get through much faster.
[Vaan]: If I have an airship, I will be the fastest.
And we can easily locate the enemies from the sky.
[Cecil]: Impossible, Vaan,
Before entering a Gateway, I have never seen any airsh…
[Vaan]: …Cecil?
What’s with the silence? What happened?
[Cecil]: Oh, I remember something.
The view…looking from the airship, then a figure of a dragoon too…
[Vaan]: View? Dragoon? What are you talking about?
[Cecil]: Vaan, thank you.
I’m going to see Kain for a moment.
[Vaan]: ……?
Understood, take care.
[Cecil]: Kain... You are the Commander of the Dragoons,
and I am the Captain of the Red Wings, both are the Baron army’s…
[Kain]: So you remember that now, Cecil.
[Cecil]: Not everything though.
Still, at least I know what I was doing.
[Cecil]: That’s strange, I should remember that
Kain is my old friend, childhood friend ….but still.
[Cecil]: I can’t belive I have forgotten that. Before I remember anything,
you just looked like any other warriors.
[Cecil]: …I’m sorry, Kain.
[Kain]: Don’t have to apologize. In this world,
I may have forgotten you as well.
[Kain]: Now you have your memory back, wanna have a race?
Cecil of the Baron’s strongest Airship fleet “Red Wings”.
[Cecil]: Ha. It’s my honor to have a match against the proud Commander of the Dragoons.
I accept you challenge, Kain.

[Cecil]: Baron… that’s nostalgic.
Yet, most of my memories are still blurry.
[Kain]: If you can remember my stuff,
you will remember the rest sooner or later…
[Cecil]:That’s right. They should return bits by bits.

Although Cecil and Kain were summoned from the same world,
the memories they have were different.
That became the key to why they took on a different path later.

Cloud is a Warrior of Chaos. Tifa's appearance as his enemy has caused him waver.

Before Theater No. 021
When the 12th Cycle has just started,
the warrior of Chaos, Cloud, came across an enemy girl.
The girl is called Tifa,
who is a childhood friend of him.
Cloud has participated in the Cycle indifferently until now.
After seeing the girl, he started to have doubts to the war.
On the other hand, Sephiroth who’s also a warrior of Chaos,
wonders why Cloud exist in this unknown world.
Not sure who they are, and both have missing memory,
he started to question about his own existence.
[Kefka]: Memory? What would you get for having these kind of things.
And it can't be helped even if you worry.
[Sephiroth]: Except destruction, you don't care about other things?
You want denial of all lives.
[Kefka]: Isn't that why you swing your katana too?
Moreover, you can also get back your memory.
[Sephiroth]: Only some of your memories would return by fighting, not all.
And those got killed will just lose their memory, but eventually get revived, so what's to be enjoy?
[Kefka]: Um.. looking at them suffering?
[Sephiroth]: Bad taste...
[Kefka]: Let me tell you something interesting
If you fight with someone who’s from the same world, you will see differently.
[Sephiroth] Different...?
[Kefka]: Cloud comes from the same world as you, right?
Why not try once?
[Kefka]: Fighting your friends let you understand a lot of thing.
Not telling anymore, I'll leave the fun for you.
[Sephiroth]: Fight Cloud.....?
[Cloud]: You... What do you want?
I am not in the mood to talk about those memory stuff with you.
[Sephiroth]: No need to speak. I do not come to listen to you.
I'm here to confirm something.
[Cloud] ... So you going to fight me? Um.
It's much better if you fight a real enemy.
[Cloud]: I don't have any reason to defeat you in this world,
but if that's your plan, I'll do it.
[Garland]: Fighting between comrades? If that causes an uproar,
everyone will be aiming for your heads.
[Garland]: Those who fell a comrade, will never be forgiven.
Any funny moves will be crushed at once.
[Garland]: ** The loser may be revived without any memory, or simply disappear.
If you have to choose, I will be your opponent.**
[Sephiroth]: humph...
[Sephiroth]: No need to be involved in this world's trouble.
...I'll leave this match later, Cloud.
[Cloud]: ......
[Cloud]: ...Wait, Garland.
[Garland]: Did you wait till I'm alone?
And you still thinking about fighting between Chaos warriors?
[Cloud]: Would avoid battling the enemies cause one disappear?
I really...wanna know that.
[Cloud]: If so, you have to beat me.
Okay? go!
[Garland]: hmph... you didn't listen!

[Cloud]: Why didn't you fight seriously...!
I will kill you!
[Garland]: What would you get for killing me? Think about that properly.
Same that it's meaningless for me to beat you.
[Garland]: ...A warning for you. Your violence against comrades,
avoid fighting enemies etc. all have been noted.
[Garland]: 邪魔者を潰すためならば 奴らは手段を選ばぬ
貴様の敵を利用しないとも限らぬ わかりやすい話だ
[Garland]: Once a pawn is accepted into the Cycle, there's no other way.
Enjoy the battles, that is the only thing you are allowed...!
[Cloud]: .....Ugh!
Sephiroth wants his memory back while observing the situation,
and Cloud starts to feel annoyed to the battles.
**According to someone saw the situation from a far place,
there was an enemy walking around and they crossed swords.**

Quest 07 [Tidus]
12th Cycle Tidus, summoned by Chaos, is feeling annoyed about his loss of memory

Before Theater No. 032
During the 12th Cycle, the God of Discord Chaos,
has summoned Tidus as his warrior.
When Tidus woke up, the only thing he remembered was his own name,
and "someone" with an ambiguous figure that he hates.
**Knowing only that he had to beat that enemy,
but had no idea who should this hate be directed to.**
With a heart full of hatred,
he did not fight anyone, but only wander in this world.
A while after the Cycle has started,
the warriors of Cosmos were called to gather at the Sanctuary...
Tidus have crossed sword with a boy without knowing his name.
He started to remember something after the fight.
[Cloud]: Are you... Tidus?
What are you doing here?
[Tidus]: I'm just looking around. I don't know any places here..
Is Chaos near?
[Cloud]: You better leave now if you don't have any real purpose.
You won't get back your memory even seeing Chaos
[Tidus]: Cloud, that....
Was that true?
[Tidus]: The other day, I have battled against en enemy,
I have to beat him in order to recall his name.
[Cloud]: I see, your memory has returned...
Is that guy in this world?
[Tidus]: Yes. That guy I fought, although I heard his name clearly, now I completely forget that.
However my...... dad...
[Tidus]: That's strange. Things that I hate were returned...
My feeling is so fuzzy now. Dunno why.
[Cloud]: You don't fight when you don't understand.
That's good, if you haven’t found out the reason to fight.
[Cloud]: The problem is solved when your memory returns.
But it has its good if it doesn't.
[Cloud]: There is a lot of time in this world, so take you time to think carefully and decide
... well then.
[Emperor]: Not fighting, not moving.
Do you plan to stay in this world forever?
[Emperor]: Can’t you slowly recall who’s your enemy?
[Tidus]: … I remembered. My dad.
My dad is one of the warriors of Cosmos.
[Emperor]: Ho? “Dad”…?
[Tidus]: I hate him very much. I remember that too. However…
I can’t remember if I should fight him. I’m confused.
[Emperor]: If that’s the case, you better recall that.
To exchange words with your father, you need a little bit more memory.
[Tidus]: More memory…. How?
[Emperor]: Memory will return after every battle… I can help you.
Now draw you sword, Tidus, warrior of Chaos.
[Tidus]: Fight you…?

[Emperor]: Father and son… may be possible to get a grip on
Cosmos’ power of the Crystals through an unexpected way.

[Emperor]: Can you remember now?
The hatred you hold within your heart...
[Tidus]: I hate my dad, I wanna beat him.
Well... I'm sure that's true now.

Those were all my intention.
[Tidus]: My feeling is that I'm neatly existing here.
I confirmed that from a fight with that guy I met a while ago.

Now I'm only going to copy-paste things. None of what's below was written by me!
Foreword
I'm not a Japanese Pro and English is my second language, as you can see from my poor choice of words, therefore
Warning: This translation is prone to have errors/mistranslations!
I did tried my best to check though, using various translators/dictionary/asking friends etc.
If you know Japanese and would like to help, or know somewhere has a better translation, or can help on translating the bits that I can't, or just feel there's something wrong, you are more than welcome to tell me through PM, VM, or post in the Discussion Thread.
(Kayarine's note: If you have any corrections or want to help translate the untranslated bits, feel free to post it in a comment on this entry and I'll relay the info to him and edit this version. I'll give full credit for the help, of course.)
This is in progress and I will eventually translate all of them. But don't expect fast update though, the first 10 took me a month to finish. XD
Here are some notes:
- The Quests are numbered chronologically base on their releasing date, not the time within the story.
- Texts wrapped with ** ** are those I'm not too sure, eg. I could only understand half and guessed the other half.
- Texts left as Japanese are those I have absolutely no idea, or I can understand the words but cannot put them together so they make sense with the dialogue before/after.
- The word 仲間 means comrades, partners, team members, companies.. etc. Here I translated it as "Friends", as the Cosmos guys always refer each other as friends.

Vaan, a young warrior in the midst of his battles with the forces of Chaos.
Learning more about his friends as the days go by,
they each strive for victory in this divine conflict.
In this world of constant battle, one may suddenly meet with a friend,
or lose one unexpectedly. It happens more often than not.
Vaan has lost sight of his friends, who had gone ahead together.
He attempts to catch up to them when he hears a familiar voice.
[Cosmos]: Warriors...
[Vaan]: That voice... is that Cosmos?
[Cosmos]: ...The world is steeped in battle.
Chaos’ power is becoming stronger…
[Vaan]: Cosmos! …is that true?
[Cosmos]: Chaos' power grows as the battles continue...
You must help me before it is too late...
[Cosmos]: Warriors, hear my plea...
Please... gather before me at Sanctuary.
[Cosmos]: I wait for you...
[Vaan]: Oh, she's gone... was that really Cosmos?
“Gather before me at Sanctuary.” I wonder if the others heard it, too.
[Vaan]: ...If everyone is return to Sanctuary, that means I can get back to the group,
although it wasn't easy making it this far.
[Vaan]: Um? Who’s that over there?
Hey! Haven’t seen you before ...are you from this world?
[Tidus]: …No, I’m not.
I was summoned here by Chaos.
[Vaan]: Chaos? …that means you're my enemy.
If you're looking for a fight, I won't hold back.
[Tidus]: …Okay, I'll fight you,
But...lemme ask you something, even though you're my enemy.

Do you remember anything about yourself before you woke up in this world?

After a while, though, I started to remember various bits and pieces.

[Vaan]: Huh? Now? You still wanna fight?
[Tidus]: It's simple. I've got nothing against you or anything.
…I just wanna try fighting for once.
[Vaan]: You're really strange, asking me questions. I'm your enemy, remember?

[Yuna]: So, Vaan is going back to Sanctuary as well.
Cosmos… what does she want to tell us?
[Vaan]: That reminds me. Yuna, Um… I don’t know his name…
but, do you know a guy about the same age as me?
[Vaan]: A while ago, he asked if Jecht was with us.
I thought you might know him.
[Yuna]: About the same age as you…? That guy, by any chance,
did he laugh a lot, was he sort of cheery….
[Vaan]: Not really. He didn't seem that way.
He was sorta sad. Not a cheery guy at all.
[Yuna]: I see…I wonder who he is.
I'll ask Sir Jecht about him later.
Vaan continues on his way towards Sanctuary,
all the while recalling the young man he had met earlier.

The 12th Cycle
Some time after the warriors of Cosmos set out into the world of conflict,
The Goddess of Harmony, Cosmos, pleaded for them to return to
Sanctuary with a message sent with a phantom of herself.
The warriors had joined together and then separated repeatedly while
fighting against the forces of Chaos in battle after battle.
Yuna was travelling with Lightning at the time, and
they both heard Cosmos' plea to return.
Although not entirely understanding why, the two young women
are returning to Sanctuary, where they had started their journey.
[Lightning]: Sent out to fight....
and now I'm told to head back to base?
[Yuna]: Do you think it's important?
That's the only reason I can think for Cosmos to call us.
[Lightning]: It's not like we can understand what the Gods think.
It's beyond our comprehension.
[Lightning]: I could see a sternness in her in her eyes, though.
Was it just because that was a phantom image?
[Yuna]:I noticed that, too.
Her eyes were different from the last few times we saw Cosmos.
[Lightning]: Although we don't know what's up,
it can't possibly be good news.
[Yuna]: Yes...
[Lightning]: Doesn't really matter anyway. It won't change the war.
I'll just keep fighting alongside the others stuck with this same fate.
[Yuna]: I will too... Light.
It's no use worrying about it right now.
[Yuna]: Let's go.
I'm getting anxious. I wanna hear what Cosmos has to say.
[Yuna]: Sanctuary is fairly close now.
Still, please be careful. What's that...?
[Lightning]: Yeah, just a bit more.
Apparently... we have an unwelcome visitor.
[Golbez]: Warriors of Cosmos.
You two seem to be heading back to Sanctuary.
[Lightning]: Golbez...
Meeting you around here. Yuna, be careful.

I have seen other warriors returning to Sanctuary, as well.

In side a Gateway, Firion, Laguna and Squall have picked up
a strange flower with a mysterious light.
The flower was named "Wild Rose" by Laguna
and was passed to Firion.
Not sure because of its lovely appearance, or the sound of its name,
Firion, however, cannot recall that from his memory.
The term "Wild Rose" certainly exists.
He can feel the deep relation with himself.
The three suddenly notice that their friends are not following.
Firion goes to look for them.
[Laguna]: Okay, don't get lost too~
[Firion]: Though it's good to search for the lost fellows...
Didn’t notice I have gone quite far apart.
[Firion]: まあ みんな勝手だからな
自由な奴ばかりだから 仕方ないか
[Firion]: Even so, I got this flower after all....
Carrying this around give me a strange feeling
[Firion]: ... "Wild Rose". Why the pain in my chest.
Must be something I should not forget.
[Firion]: In order to remember it sooner, I have to fight...

Right after Theater No. 023
During their journey, Squall, Laguna, Vaan and Onion Knight have come across each other.
While talking about their situation, Vaan and Laguna have walked to somewhere.
After a while they were found missing.
Squall and Onion Knight were left behind.
While amazed as usual, they head towards where the two disappeared.
[Onion Knight]: **I would like some freedom once a while.
He is not bad guy though. **
[Onion Knight]: "but, because you are just a kid, that's poor"
Vaan speaks too much.
[Squall]: If compare with the fellow who's noisy all the time,
Vaan is in fact quiet.
[Onion Knight]: He's not quiet at all.
He keeps talking no matter I'm standing, sitting or walking.
[Squall]: **He just worries about you.
But still, worrying is better than those who never care other people**
[Squall]: ...and Laguna
has a similar problem too.
[Onion Knight]: You know Laguna before?
I always see you two chatting.
[Squall]: No, we didn't know each other,
He doesn't care who's there, he can just keep talking
[Squall]: ( ...still, he certainly has many chance for all these chatting)
[Onion Knight]: Squall, we should hurry
We still haven’t caught up to them.

I don't think there's any need to chase them now.**

has left a small doubt to Squall.
Though after reunited with Laguna and Onion Knight,

Awaken as a warrior of Cosmos,
Cecil was just summoned. He has lost a lot of memory.
Although his childhood friend Kain remembered his stuff,
Cecil almost has no memory about Kain.
After Cosmos handed out her power,
they have been on the journey to find the Crystal.
The two, belonging to the same side,
were confronted by the wars with the warriors of Chaos.
[Cecil]: It’s quiet now… Seems like the enemy were driven off.
[Vaan]: Alright, let’s move.
Restart from the Sanctuary again.
[Vaan]: Although getting Cosmos’ power is good,
I had traveled fairly far ahead.
[Cecil]: That’s too bad.
But we have passed through this way before, this time we should get through much faster.
[Vaan]: If I have an airship, I will be the fastest.
And we can easily locate the enemies from the sky.
[Cecil]: Impossible, Vaan,
Before entering a Gateway, I have never seen any airsh…

When the 12th Cycle has just started,
the warrior of Chaos, Cloud, came across an enemy girl.
The girl is called Tifa,
who is a childhood friend of him.
Cloud has participated in the Cycle indifferently until now.
After seeing the girl, he started to have doubts to the war.
On the other hand, Sephiroth who’s also a warrior of Chaos,
wonders why Cloud exist in this unknown world.
Not sure who they are, and both have missing memory,
he started to question about his own existence.
[Kefka]: Memory? What would you get for having these kind of things.
And it can't be helped even if you worry.
[Sephiroth]: Except destruction, you don't care about other things?
You want denial of all lives.
[Kefka]: Isn't that why you swing your katana too?
Moreover, you can also get back your memory.
[Sephiroth]: Only some of your memories would return by fighting, not all.
And those got killed will just lose their memory, but eventually get revived, so what's to be enjoy?
[Kefka]: Um.. looking at them suffering?
[Sephiroth]: Bad taste...
[Kefka]: Let me tell you something interesting
If you fight with someone who’s from the same world, you will see differently.

and Cloud starts to feel annoyed to the battles.

During the 12th Cycle, the God of Discord Chaos,
has summoned Tidus as his warrior.
When Tidus woke up, the only thing he remembered was his own name,
and "someone" with an ambiguous figure that he hates.
**Knowing only that he had to beat that enemy,
but had no idea who should this hate be directed to.**
With a heart full of hatred,
he did not fight anyone, but only wander in this world.
A while after the Cycle has started,
the warriors of Cosmos were called to gather at the Sanctuary...
Tidus have crossed sword with a boy without knowing his name.
He started to remember something after the fight.
[Cloud]: Are you... Tidus?
What are you doing here?
[Tidus]: I'm just looking around. I don't know any places here..
Is Chaos near?
[Cloud]: You better leave now if you don't have any real purpose.
You won't get back your memory even seeing Chaos
[Tidus]: Cloud, that....
Was that true?
[Tidus]: The other day, I have battled against en enemy,
I have to beat him in order to recall his name.
[Cloud]: I see, your memory has returned...
Is that guy in this world?
[Tidus]: Yes. That guy I fought, although I heard his name clearly, now I completely forget that.
