Kefka's grand opening display had definitely caught Relm's attention. Her eyes widened in horror as the flames heightened before narrowing as as Celes's sentiment was definitely echoed in her own. She was long past the stage where any of Kefka's antics would cause her to cower or run away, not with her friends at her side. It was tempting, but she steeled her resolve and strove to recall what resources she had; she'd need them shortly

On his first glance up, Shadow had been unable to see the occupants of the gondola, not from where he stood on the ground. But the laughter... he was certain he heard the laughter, very close. Perhaps a well placed dispel would reveal the other, but it was unlikely this would be easy, here amid the confusion and panic that had already begun with Kefka's initial attack.
Then, something was suddenly off, something more than the screams and burning. Shadow's second glance up was nearly too late. The gondola had already been loosened, and was now falling toward the ground, directly toward the assassin. Damn. He'd made an error. A mistake.
The malicious sound of laughter echoed all around, and he had only an instant in time to react. Shadow's eyes narrowed as the gondola began to fall, as Kefka dropped the kid, her high-pitched scream carrying over the mayhem in the Gold Saucer. His focus was divided, but any attack on Kefka was forgotten.
Relm!
The falling girl screamed, the large metallic structure plunged toward the earth... He could save one life... but let another go. Could he do that? Or was there time to save them both?
The cold assassin from not so long ago may have felt no dilemma in this matter. But... now, again, some of Clyde had returned. Not much, but enough to make the moment painfully tedious
