So that interview was a waste of my time. Walked in and the guy asked "why do you wanna be a dispatcher?" and my answer was honest it was "cause I want to get a foot in the door in Law Enforcement". So what does he say? He was like "nope wrong answer". He in formed me he doesnt hire guys who want that. He hires only guys who wanna be dispatchers.

well, to be fair, the impression I get from playing GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas (oooh such tomes of knowledge) is that dispatchers are despised by patrollers anyway.

And for a good reason, I would think -- I mean, you'd just boss people around and tell them where to go...
