['End of the month. Check. Strange things appearing for no reason. Check. This would be, if I had the choice, the part where I run and hide from the experiment. However, the content that appeared is just bizarre.']

Um.. That one at least isn't that bad, right? It only sounds a little funny..

[ Madoka giggles, a little bit awkwardly, perhaps. ]

I suppose if you dwell on it, you'd realize it sounds like the kind of problem which will at least go away pretty quickly.

But I'm not sure I should think about it that closely.

Why wouldn't you be sure about that? It sounds a little embarassing, but at least it's not.. too big of a problem, right? [ especially not when some of her predictions sound more sad or omnious. ]

I just don't know how much attention I want to devote to horoscopes, particularly when they dwell on, ah, that.

['A bit embarrassing to say it to a girl, anyway.']

Sounds like other people have had some worse ones, true.

It's a little strange they appeared in our journals though.. Normally there aren't any horoscopes or anything like that there.

Maybe something special is going on.. [ ponder. ] Or maybe they just made a new horoscope function for the journals.

You got one too, huh? Has everyone?

...It sounds a bit like these 'experiments' I've heard about, though I thought that might involve more scalpels and drugs.

It seems that way.. I wonder if everyone got completely different ones too.

A.. ah, don't worry, usually the experiments aren't anything like that. They're a little bit weird, but they aren't going to cut us or anything.. [ the last part is said perhaps a bit awkwardly since that's a pretty scary idea. ]

['Reassuring. As long as cutting isn't the only form of physical damage forbidden, I guess I can keep my spirits up.']

Yours are completely different, huh? Can I ask what they are?

Um.. One of them is pretty scary, it says.. [ and so she reads it aloud: ] "A stranger may mean you harm this week so greet everyone with a blood-curdling shriek."

Do you really think someone might do that to me..?

Er... Well, it sounds like they just want you to scream a lot. I mean, a stranger might mean you harm any week, but that doesn't mean they really do, right?

That's right, but they wouldn't warn me for no reason, right? I thought they were just trying to be nice and thoughtful..

Well, if it's an experiment, they really might just be warning you for no reason. Or worse than no reason.

N-- ... no way, do you really think they would do that..?

I'd almost be more surprised if they didn't.

They might be a little bit cruel, but.. I want to believe that nobody is truly mean like that.

...Well, they say they have a reason for it, if that's what you mean. And I'm sure they'd do it if they felt it was in keeping with their mission.
