This isn't an update for Mr. President, though. X'DD Me got lazy, sowee ;A; I just suddenly hatched an idea I couldn't get outta my head XD So yeah, here it is.

Title: The Sweet Life of Zack and Cloudy (lolyus, ya know where I got this from X'D)

Author: yamira_jean

Fandom: Final Fantasy VII

Pairing: Clack

Rating: PG-13 for general content

Plot: Cloud felt his arm around his shoulder, holding him tight against his lean chest. The blond sighed and relaxed as he felt the man's chin on top of his head. Zack breathed once, and then said: “Welcome to the sweet life, Spikey.”

Notes: This is a collection of a LOT of Clack universes. Chef Cloud. Waiter Zack. School President/Model Cloud. Vice President/Boxer Zack (OHLOLWTF?) Iunno just random instances of Zack and Cloud. :3 But there might be a few universes here that would eventually be full-length... fics? XD LOL can't think of the right term. Still sorta mad. Anyways, here’s the intro first. :) this is going to be fun, I'm sure of it :3

“You seem quiet lately. Anything wrong?”

Cloud looked up from his textbook as the black-haired approached him. The blond-haired male looked sideways before settling his gaze on the grinning individual who had seated beside him. Confusion etched on Cloud’s face as he registered the question introduced to him.

“What do you mean, Zack?” He asked, adjusting the black-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his cute nose. “I’m always quiet.”

The handsome male, Zack, laughed then, as if to say, ‘oh yeah, hahaha’. But no, that wasn’t what he meant. The bigger male scratched his head as he replied, “Of course you’re quiet. I’d be the first to know that you’re quiet. But then…” He turned his head to look at a different direction, and the blue-eyed blond was immediately reminded of one of those scenes wherein one character would look off to the distance and trail off. Usually this leads to somewhere awkward. Cloud shifted unconsciously in his seat - he didn’t like awkward.

Thankfully, what Zack said next wasn’t so weird. “Nah. Never mind it.” He dismissed the thought and suddenly leaned in close to Cloud, their noses almost touching. He grinned when the smaller male let out a surprised squeak. “Sooo… watchudoiiin?”

Cloud pouted and gestured to the book in his lap. “Readin’.” He replied briefly. He raised an eyebrow at the all-smiles Zack Fair, who didn’t seem to notice his suspicious glance. Zack was acting rather weird today, he observed. Wonder why…

The brief reply didn’t seem to satisfy him. “Watchu readin’?”

“Erm,” Cloud suddenly forgot what he was reading. He looked over the book to glance at the cover, and the mere sight of it reminded him. “It’s a love story between two young samurai. Kumoshi and Zakusu. (1)”

“Oooh… wait, samurai? As in guys?” Zack grinned. He tweaked the blond’s nose affectionately. “You read that kind of stuff, Spikey?”

Cloud smacked the black-haired male - “Oww! Spikey has a pointy beak - oww, oww, oww!!” - repeatedly on the face and remarked, “It’s. For. Literature. Class. You. Weir. Do.” He kept on hitting Zack with the book even after that. But the intensity of the force Cloud used to hit him couldn’t be more painful than a light pat, so Zack decided to feign injury while laughing. Uh-huh.

“Okay, okay, Spike! Knock it off!” The black-haired male had his arms up to protect his face and head. When Cloud stopped - “Hmph. That’s what you get, you sicko.” - Zack’s finger suddenly crept its way to poke Cloud’s sides, which in turn, caused the blond to jump five feet in the air with a loud, “yeeek!”

“Zack! Stop that!” He punched the laughing male on the arm. “You know I hate it when you poke me in the sides! It tickles!”

“And you know I love it when I poke you in the sides! It’s fun!” He grinned.

“Hmph.”

Cloud was going to go back to reading when a thought came into mind. Blue eyes focused on the still-grinning male. This time though, Zack noticed the look on the blond’s face.

Zack’s face faltered a bit. “What’s wrong?”

“…I should be asking you that.” Cloud closed the book after inserting a bookmark. He then removed his glasses and did one of those drool-worthy shake-of-the-head gestures, golden locks swaying with his side-to-side head movements. The violet-eyed teenager beside him whistled appreciatively at this, causing the blond to blush. A fist shot out to punch the male on the arm. “…shut up.”

“D’awww, but I didn’t say anything!” Zack leaned in close to pinch Cloud’s cheeks. The cheeks on the face, of course. “You so uber cute when you get all flustered! It makes me want to cuddle with you all day.” That only made Cloud blush even more.

“Stop going off-topic, Zack.” The blue-eyed wonder placed the glasses on the coffee table in front of the couch they were sitting on and fully faced Zack, who sported a confused, yet expectant face.

Cloud sighed and said, “All right, Zack. What’s wrong?”

Expectant face made more way to Confused. Zack tilted his head to the side in wonder. “What do you mean, Cloudy?”

“Well you seem… weird lately.” Before Zack could reply, Cloud suddenly spoke up again. “And don’t even say that you’re always weird. You’re never this weird, and it’s starting to bother me a bit.”

Zack looked at him with a blank face. The blue-eyed blond’s eyes shot up in alarm; he rarely saw his companion use that face around him. The blank face didn’t last though, as Zack immediately replaced it with his signature Grin Face.

The spiky-haired individual leaned back on the couch and stared at the ceiling. “I’m acting weird, huh…”

Cloud decided to join him and leaned back, too. He stared at the blank whiteness of the ceiling. He started counting the faded spots after a while of silence. But when he was about to count the twenty-third spot, Zack spoke up.

“Cloud, what do you think of us?”

“Huh?” Cloud was taken aback by the question. Did… Did Zack just ask…?

Zack faced him, but only his head moved. He still remained in his relaxed stance on the couch, arms on the backrest. He smiled, but this one was a little sad. “What do you think of us, Cloud?”

Cloud blushed. Oh no, here he goes again. The blond scratched his head, fidgeting and stammering. Ughh, why does he always get so nervous whenever Zack asks those kinds of questions? And it’s not like… well, it’s not like they’re difficult questions to answer. They only ask for his honest opinion, after all. They’re not based on academic fact or… anything.

So why is it so difficult to face Zack now?

“Ermm… I…” Ughh, he better stop doing this soon. He might hurt the violet-eyed male one of these days. But man, his head’s starting to really itch.

“Cloud?”

“I think… I think we’re… umm…” Scratch. Scratch. Fidget. Fidget. “We’re, well, you know. You know, we’re… you know.”

Zack smiled and placed a hand on the twitching blond’s head. He ran his hand through spikey, yet soft locks and leaned in to kiss the blond’s temple. He chuckled when the blond squirmed, and he pulled the smaller male closer to his chest.

“Yeah, yeah,” He kissed the top of his head. “I know. Oh, boy, do I know.”

Cloud played with the buttons on Zack’s shirt - poking them, tapping on them - and stared up to meet violet orbs. They continued to stare for a while until Zack chuckled, ruffling Cloud’s hair - “Hey!”

“I’m glad that you’re just being your usual quiet self.” Zack announced suddenly, catching the boy’s attention. “I thought you were having second thoughts about…” The black-haired male scratched his head and lazily dropped his hand on his lap. “Ahh, phooey. Who cares about that?”

Cloud moved in closer, his eyes not leaving Zack’s. “What would I be having second thoughts about?”

Zack smacked his lips, his eyes darting upward. In a matter of seconds, he shook his head and patted the boy’s head again. “It doesn’t matter, Cloudy. Just me being…”

“Weird?” Cloud supplied.

“…yeah. Me being weird.” Zack stuck his tongue out and ruffled the boy’s hair again, this time with more playful force.

“H-Hey! Don’t mess my hair up!”

“As if it wasn’t messy to begin with!”

“But still!”

“But still what?”

“…still! My hair!”

“What about your hair?”

“ARGHHH JUST STOP IT!”

“Neveeeer!”

The door to the lounge room opened, and a handsome redhead came in unnoticed by the two males on the couch. He went over to a pile of books and browsed through them until he found what he was looking for: Loveless - a classic.

‘And Sephiroth says this book is for sissies,’ He harrumphed and turned around to leave the room. The blue-eyed redhead glanced at the two maniacs on the couch - “Arrghh, Zack! Stop tickling m-EEEEEEEEEE!” “Bwahahhaahhaha!” - and smirked a little. He left the room, still unnoticed.

A silver-haired male was leaning against the wall across the door when he came out. Cat-like eyes raised to meet his blue ones and he asked, “What’s going on in there, Genesis?”

“Nothing, Sephiroth.” Genesis replied, waving the Loveless book in his hand, and Sephiroth gave him a look that screamed, “OMG LOVELESS D:” He smirked and walked down the hall. “Just them being weird.”

Inside the room, Cloud was curled up against Zack. He donned a goofy smile as Zack continued to shower his neck with butterfly kisses - the kinds of kisses that never ceased to make him swoon.

“Hmm, Zack?”

One more kiss. “Yeah, Cloudy?”

“…I like you. A lot.” He blushed, ducking his head in embarrassment. Zack donned an ‘aww’ face and kissed the blond’s nose. There was a… look in those beautiful, violet eyes, and Cloud couldn’t bring himself to look away. They were a lot like… but were they really…?

“I like you a lot, too, Spikey.” He smiled. “A whole lot.”

Cloud sighed happily and scooted closer to Zack. He grinned and announced, “This is the life.”

“Heh, I know.” Cloud felt his arm around his shoulder, holding him tight against his lean chest. The blond sighed again and smiled as he felt the man's chin on top of his head. Zack breathed once, and then said:

“Welcome to the sweet life, Spikey.”

Yes. It was definitely the sweet life with Zack around.
