About the Mog Safe Upgrade quest

x-posted to finalfantasy11I've read arguments back and forth on allakhazam.com about how the first Mog Safe upgrade quest depends on fame or doesn't, whether or not your country has to be in first place, etc - and it wasn't really helpful

This same thing happened to me on one of the later Mog Safe quests. To the best of my knowledge, fame/country have no bearing on this quest. Once you have the bed placed in your mog house, you need to wait until the next tally, which is at some time on Sunday. That's why you'll usually see the beds and quest items sell like crazy on Saturday and Sunday.

Unfortunately, other events can happen after the Sunday tally as well. One of these possiblities is that your moggle will make Scop's Operetta Scroll if you have the ink furnishing set. For whatever reason, these will take precedence over the Mog Safe quest. When this happened to me, I had to wait until the next Sunday tally could take effect. Make sure to hold on to your items though, as i'm sure you can finish the quest up in a few days. Hope this helps.
