I think Austere is fugy so I just use Vermillion. Really I think Austere is just for people who can't afford Verm, I've *never* seen someone switch between th two -- Pick one and use it D;

umm, I hate vermy, I would just use austere untill yin yang robe that thing is so hawt /omgcreamspants lol. honestly I hate vermy and bitch out anyone other than summoners and plds, they're the only ones who should ever wear it. every other jobs has so much better equip. and ith vermy raising price due to the lack of Dcloth from aquarious, it's just a better option for say blms to stick with AF untill they get their cloak and whms should also wait untill they can get nobles. I think being a rdm so long has spoiled me, Im not sure if Im out of line about what I say, but honestly, I would save my gil and just level a whole bunch and then buy the stuff that is more specific to your class... of course if you can't get the gil for those items, you might as well join up and Hnm ls work your ass off to gain priority on dalmatica and get that instead.
