“Wow, Wes. Who’d have thunk you were such a slut?”

“Beg your pardon?”

“Oh come *on*. Lilah *and* Spike at the same time? Always knew you were a man’s man. I mean, hello? Everyone knew what with your wardrobe, which okay gotten a bit better but still.”

“You’re just jealous.”

“Of Lilah and Spike? Or you? Puleeze, like I’d wanna boink either of them. Now you, with the designer clothes and the manly man stubble and the.. Why’d you have to get so hot after I died anyway? How come you couldn’t like stay all dorkified?”

“What? Is there a point to this meeting? Why am I here? Where *is* here?”

“Of course there’s a point. I just wanted to have some fun with you. Y’know, for old times sake. I miss the old times.”

“I know. I do to, but they’re.. They’re gone. And so are most of you.”

She reached out and ran a hand down my face with a sad smile. “That’s why I’m here, Wes. Most of us are gone, or will be gone. But you wont. You gotta move on and as much as it pains to say me? Seems like Lilah got the right idea when it comes to you. You have to get out of here and move on. It’s okay to do that y’know. No one’s gonna judge you or whatever.”

I looked at her wearily, wondering just how well she knew me. “How did you--”

“Like I don’t know you by now,” she rolled her eyes and snorted. “You get guilty over the most fucked up things. Funny thing is? Lilah knows it too. So did Fred. We only want what’s best for you, and staying here? So not it. “

“I did the symbols and we’re on our way and---”

“And you’re so dawdling. What kind of a word is that anyway? I mean ‘dawdling’? Is that a British thing or a Wesley thing? Okay, enough with the eye rolling already. I’m serious, Wes. Stop finding excuses to say here and get your pansy ass moving.”

“My arse is not pansy.”

“Yeah, I noticed. So did Lilah and definitely Spike.”

“What?”

“Never mind. Look, did I make myself clear, or do I have to hit you again? Cause I can do that you know.”

“Fred.”

“No.”

“But…”

“No, Wes. I can’t tell you. You’ll find out eventually. When its your time. And your time? Not any time soon as far as I’m concerned. One of us is gotta get out, one of us is gotta try and make some kinda ‘happy’ life”

“We’ll be on the run. What kind of happy life with that be?

She smiled again and leaned in to drop a kiss on my forehead. “You’ll make it work,” she told me. “And if not you, then Lilah will. Oh by the way, tell her I’m sorry for the whole ice-pick thing okay?

“That wasn’t you.”

“Like she’s gonna care about that. Gotta go now and so do you. Get your ass moving, Wes. And maybe I’ll see you around.”

“Ugh.”

I blinked my eyes open only too see two pairs looking back. One brown greenish and the other ice blue. “Cordy says she’s sorry for the ice-pick,” I murmured at Lilah. “And my arse is not pansy.”

Spike blinked, glanced over at Lilah and then back at me again. “Hookay, Percy. Whatever you say. Kinda agree with you on the none squiter latter, pet.”
