When the sending came, both their ears perked and their eyes brightened.
"Trees?" Gust asked.
"Water?" Moth asked.
They looked around at the others.

Lightstone chose to give Hardhead a break and walk instead. He scratched his wolf-friend behind the ears, giving the appearance of being occupied while he did something else. **Alder,** he lock-sent to the young chief, **I want to ask you something.**

He left the question-cum-scolding at that. It was enough for Alder to dwell on.
"Come on now, everyone," he called aloud, adding a cheerful note to his voice. "Moonfall was good enough to find us a path, so it's best we take it."

She looked back down at the ground to be sure she didn't drop anything and shook her head slightly. The grass where she'd been sitting appeared to be greener and healthier looking than the rest. She thought it was just her eyes playing tricks on her. Coppertail moved to stand near Gust and Moth, but still away from them as well.

The promise of trees and sweet water made her nearly howl. She was tired and scared, and parched.
When Lightstone gave the order to go, she followed him willingly, trustingly. She gave a backward glance at Alder, feeling guilty, but he needed to prove himself as a chief, and Lightstone was her elder.

Looking herself over, she held out her arms to Moss, displaying her scratches from flying debries. That was the least of her worries.
Bending her head, her hair hiding her face, she answered.

"I can't wait for us to find a new home. We're all so raggedy looking." She sighed and shook her head. "I know there are more important things to worry about, but that's the only thing I can really do, so that's what I'll worry about."
