I'm sure I could've completed this challenge in the original time alotted (er, FIVE DAYS) but I'm not one to stick to prescribed rules and schedules (i.e., lazy, forgetful and professional crastinator or pro-crastinator for short). Thank you! I'm going to start my birthday by taking a nap! (I work overnight and actually then fed one friend's cat and walked 2 dogs for a couple I'm house-sitting for, so that's how I REALLY started my birthday). I fear it promises to be a very quiet / near-dull day. Maybe I'll go out in the afternoon and buy myself a record or two. Maybe I'll go see Star Wars.

By the way...I splashed out for the Canon MP-E 65mm lens about 6 weeks ago. It's a beast.

That sounds like a loverly bday to me!
Yes, I had the Canon EF 180mm macro until my gear was stolen. I think I miss that lens the most. It was also a very sweet portrait lens.

That's a serious lens. I still need to buy a much more practical macro lens / other lenses but I'm out of expendable income for the time being. The macro lens I have is amazing and completely impractical but quite what I like and still learning its idiosyncracies. I'll have to purchase some rails so I can get it outside and close to the earth (it's extremely heavy) or a very special tripod. I'd certainly have a more well rounded rig if it weren't for my guitar equipment habit as well.

Western world problems...

Thank you! I've replied twice but for some reason when I add a url the system marks it as spam (even though i'm logged in and it's my comment on my account) and I don't know how to fix it in the settings.

Appropo to the original post I have released a bunch of new music over 2018 including just 2 days ago on Christmas all on my Bandcamp account. Yay me.
