Bioshockverse - Day 3 - Fort Frolic

Aug 08, 2010 01:46

Every city needs places where you can unwind, and for Rapture one of the best places to do so was Fort Frolic. Here you could find a bit of everything: bars, boutiques, theaters, record stores, casinos, strip clubs. The place was lit almost entirely by neon lights and plaster statues littered the place...wait...those were statues, right ( Read more... )

A liquor store. Hey, it's been a stressful weekend.

Yes, even Rapture has strip clubs. Here you'll find a bar, some poles to dance on and, hey, there were still dollar bills littering the place. Just don't go into the back room behind the stage if you have a weak stomach. It's not pretty.

[I know I said it in the post, but that last picture is extremely bloody and violent]

Yeah, Claudia went into the back room.

She didn't stay there long.

That would be her, leaning against a wall by the entrance to the strip club, shaking. "Oh, that was not right."

"What wasn't?"

Chuck... wasn't actually sure he wanted to know, but he also wasn't going to ignore a clearly shaken girl, whether he really knew her or not. Sometimes people liked to talk about things.

Claudia swallowed. "Extreme dead lady." That was about the best she could do by way of describing it. "I hate this place."

Would you believe that the slot machines in here still worked? Go ahead, put a dollar in!

Lindsay wasn't really interested in the slot machines. She was mostly there looking for more supplies. Just in case. It was also a good place to rest for a few moments as there didn't seem to be many splicers around. At least she hoped.

Fleet Hall trickydemigod August 8 2010, 05:49:51 UTC
One of the grandest places in Fort Frolic, Fleet Hall was a huge theater where the citizens of Rapture would watch movies, plays and concerts. Plaster casts of human beings were sitting in some of the seats, a frozen audience for someone who loved nothing more than to be watched.

When everyone had filtered into the Hall, a spotlight turned on revealing a man standing in the middle of the stage, his arms held out in a dramatic fashion. It was obvious the man was a Splicer, but his face was covered in stage make up, hiding most of his deformities. He was dressed in a crisp suit and, when he spoke, it was the voice of someone who very obviously had a speech coach in life. Every word was enunciated and clear. He didn't need a microphone to be heard in the huge room ( ... )

'Too far for a crossbow accurately' was James's first thought as he listened to the speech. "This place is full of those touched by the gods, Ruthia preserve us," he muttered, invoking the Midkemian god of luck.

"Ooh, great, a dramatic monologue by a creepy dude," Bobby rolled his eyes. "Just what this whole experience was missing."

I like writing Sander Cohen too much I think...

Anyway, ping here for questions/NPCs/Etc. Once again I fail, and will be AFK the majority of the day while I'm moving into my new place. Sorry about that. Moving was supposed to happen last week, sigh.
