Despite the rather unhappy way the ball had ended, Jareth, the Goblin King, was still in a good mood. He still had his captives, the labyrinth was still growing around this tiny island and no one had figured out what to do about it

Ender didn't believe in wallowing, usually, or he tried not to. But somehow, after last night, waking up had been... ...he hadn't moved from the floor where he'd woken up. He was staring up at the ceiling, taking soft, quiet breaths.

Cara sat with her back to a wall, watching the room carefully, the simple fact that she wasn't dangling from the ceiling by her wrists with only a few feet of leather and a couple of buckles to preserve her... dignity meant that things were already far better than they could be.

Karla woke up and immediately wished she hadn't. Her head still hurt--though more likely from the wing to the temple she'd taken rather than all the wine she might or might not have drunk last night--her face and arms were covered in scratches and bites, and from the way her clothes fit, she was pretty sure she had somehow come to be dressed in a corset and leather pants.
She didn't even want to know. Nope. Not even a little bit.
The only problem with not waking up? It meant that she had lots more time to think about everything she might or might not have done last night (just what the Hell had that been?!), including, among other things, licking Raven's chakra.
Maybe she should just focus on being mad at Warren for getting her into this mess. Yeah, that sounded way more productive than her other options.
Well, he wasn't just going to explain without being asked nicely especially with a glare like that directed at him. Just think, he'd been so hospitable and everything.
He merely held Squall's gaze and waited for the young unwanted boy to say something.
So it was going to be a staring contest, then? Squall could sit here all day. If Jareth was hoping to be asked nicely, he was looking at the wrong person.
At some point, after the captives had made themselves nice and comfortable in his throne room, music started swelling from nowhere. Rising from his throne, Jareth wandered over to one of the goblins and just like that, there was singing.
"You remind me of the babe."
"What babe?"
"The babe with the power."
"What power?"
"The power of voodoo."
"Who do?"
"You do!"
"Do what?"
"Remind me of the babe."
The captives would then find themselves with the intense need to get up and dance as both the singing and the dancing continued. Jareth, of course, welcomed them to join in. It was so much more fun that way!
[And here we go! Feel free to join in! I'll ping in every so often to move the song along!]

Squall resisted as long as he was able, but he found himself powerless to stop himself from getting to his feet and dancing.
When the goblins made him make a fool of himself last night, they had at least had the courtesy to also make him insane for the duration. Today, he had the horrifying experience of watching his body do things while he was powerless to stop it.
Yet. Jareth was certain that would change if he had anything to say about it. Still, he was happy to see his future princes and princesses enjoying themselves so.
"I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry What could I do? My baby's love had gone And left my baby blue Nobody knew!"
And now, he just waited for his princes and princesses to join in with their melodious singing.

At any rate, Squall glared at him watched him closely. With any luck, he'd explain what was going on.
