FALLOUTVERSE - Rivet City - NIGHT POST

Aug 06, 2010 09:35

After several hours, the skies began to darken. Strange noises emanated from the destroyed skyline behind them, the screams of raiders and the chattering of super mutants, sometimes menacing, sometimes... less so. Still darker it got, and then the caravan below got up and left, traveling north along the Potomac River ( Read more... )

Rivet City Marketplace bitch_prince August 6 2010, 07:37:24 UTC
A bustling marketplace in the belly of the aircraft carrier. Payment is in the local currency: bottle caps. However, traders will happily buy just about anything from you. Intact materials are rare in the Wasteland.

A Quick Fix supplies all the medicine and chemicals that the people of Rivet might need. Of special interest to anyone from Fandom would be the radiation sickness prevention medicine Rad-X, and the radiation sickness cure RadAway. Stimpacks for injuries are also available.

Kitty was definitely hitting this place up. She hadn't shown up with anything of note, and since she wasn't really a big fighter, she figured if anything happened, it'd be best to be prepared to help if anyone needed patching up. Besides, any town or whatever that sold this much radiation sickness medicine might require her to buy some.

Emma was happy to trade a few safety-pins and rubber-bands that were at the bottom of her purse for some Rad-X. Better to be safe now than desperately need it later.

The Muddy Rudder is the local watering hole. As far as a bar goes, it’s not that bad. Wine, whiskey and beer are among your options, and we're pretty sure they've never even heard of carding.

Ben was sipping carefully from his water and watching the locals avidly, trying to pick up as much information as he could.

This is what Alex needed and needed badly. Later, he'd go out and maybe try and be helpful but, right now, it was all about whiskey and keeping his eyes open.

Even if he felt the exhaustion creeping into his bones, he wasn't about to sleep in this place.

Jason had managed to get a beer, but he wasn't actually drinking it. He just wanted to blend in to listen to the conversations and get a better idea of just where the hell they were.

Rivet City Clinic can treat your wounds and your radiation poisoning. For a fee, of course.

If you have any interest at all in the history of this world, the Capitol Preservation Society museum has a great deal of documents and items from this alternate USA’s turbulent history.

Well. For as long as people were able to keep records, anyway.

After spending some time drinking more whiskey than was needed, Alex drunkenly wandered over to what looked like a museum. Maybe he'd pass out in there or something.

It wasn't like he was going to remember anything he learned.

For anyone in need of godly attention. It's pretty much just a large metal room with a few metal benches in it and a pulpit, but do you really need more?
