Summary: Takaki Yuya asked Arioka Daiki to help him reject Valentine Chocolates in an unexpected way. lame, I know
A/N: Rushed. Prone to typographical and grammatical errors.
An eight years old Yuya walk towards the park. They just moved on their new house and being the socialite he is, he sets off to find new friends. As he reached the park, he spotted a group of boys playing and thought he could play with them. But before he could approach them, a kid smaller then him approach the kids from the other direction. He stopped his tracks and stared at the kid. Beautiful is what he could only think of. His thoughts were cut when the group of boys pushed the latter and started beating up the pretty kid. Since he's a little far, he couldn't hear why did they stated acting like that towards his found little angel.
"There's no way we'll play with you!" a kid shouted at him.
"B-but w-why?" little Daiki asked as tears started to form in his eyes.
"Because you look like a girl! That makes you lame!"
"But I'm not a girl!" he defended.
"You look like one! You must be weak!"
"I'm not!"
"Then let's prove it" Then the kids pushed him down and punches and kicks were thrown towards him. His formed tears are now flowing and he's crying for real.
"Oi! Stop it! You shouldn't do this to a girl!"A boy whose face isn't familiar with Daiki stood in front of him and shove the bullies away.
Yuya turned around to look at the latter he just saved. Chubby cheeks, pouty lips, and twinkling eyes welcomed him. Even with the tear stains on his cheeks and scratches on his arms and knees, the kid is definitely beautiful. Together with the pitiful look, Yuya made up his mind that instant to be friends with the latter and protect him.
"Ah! Here!" Yuya said as he took a handkerchief and handed it to the kid in front of him.
"My mama said that girl's tear is like a precious gem so you shouldn't waste it with bad kids like those." He said smiling to the chibi but much to his confusion, the pretty kid started crying way louder than before. This caused Yuya to panic.
"W-what?! W-why are you crying? D-does it hurt somewhere? Oi, daijoubu?"
"B-boku wa o-onna janai!" Daiki said in between his sobs.
"E-eh?" This made Yuya stop and stare at the latter.
"Boku wa onna janai!" Daiki repeated. Yuya chuckled a little.
"Ah. Souka! Gomen ne, for calling you a girl. You're just so cute, I thought you're one." He explained but the penguin glared at him.
"Don't call me cute! That's girly, and I won't gain any friends!" He answered. Yuya was taken back by those words and realized the latter doesn't like being cute.
"Jaa, I'll be your friend!" and the younger soften his gaze and curiously stared at him.
"I'll be your friend and I'll protect you so you don't have to cry anymore!" Yuya confidently smiled at him.
"Hontou ni?" Daiki reassuringly asked.
"Un!"
"D-demo nande? Why would you be friends with me?" He asked. Still not convinced in why this stranger offered to be his friend.
"Hmm... nande? That's because you're cute!" And the latter was more confused.
"Because you're cute that I want to be friends with you! Those kids are just jealous because they're not as pretty as you."
"Then, you're not jealous like them?"
"No, because I'm handsome! Tee-hee! More than that, I promise I'll be your friend forever and ever! That's why you should be happy that you're cute because you'll be with them mighty Yuya!" He said jokingly, trying to cheer the younger up. Regardless whether he's a boy, he has decided that he'll be with him, with a reason much more he could think off.
Daiki chuckled at Yuya's hilarious statement.
"Ja, I'll be cute forever and ever so I'll be with mighty Yuya!" he said, going with the joke.
"Ah! Boku wa Daichan! I like to be called Daiki because it's more boyish but because I'm cute, call me Daichan!" he said at the older while smiling widely and the chibi Yuya, unknowingly to him, had fallen to the chibi Daiki many times around that day.
"Un! Daichan!"

Yuya smiled at the memories replaying on his mind. His currently with Daiki on their usual spot on the rooftop, head on Daiki's shoulder while trying to rest. Daiki noticed the grin on the older's face and eyed him curiously.
"Why are you grinning like that?" the younger asked.
"Hm... betsuni! Nee Daichan, when did you fall for me?" he asked as he gazed at the penguin's eyes.
Daiki avoided his eyes as he felt heat creeping up his face because of the eye contact and sudden question.
"I-i don't know. I just suddenly realized it. I think it's like that even before I knew it."
"Hmm..." and he felt Yuya's loving stare at him.
"W-why did you ask? M-more than that, how about you?!" he said, averting the topic.
"Hmm... me?" and Yuya directed his gaze at the sky.
"Nandayo... answer me." The penguin demanded and Yuya looked at him to be welcomed by the chibi's pouting lips.
"Love at first sight, I think." he answered as he quickly peck on those alluring lips and return to his previous position with his head on Daiki's shoulder.
"Sneaky!"
